1 Scope

This Guidance Document specifies the conditions of use, ratings, design and construction, testing, selection of 1100kV high voltage AC circuit-breakers Guidelines, transport, storage, installation, operation and maintenance requirements. This guidance is for technical documents designed and installed outdoors and operating at a frequency of 50Hz and a nominal voltage of 1000kV UHV High-voltage AC circuit breakers in power systems. This Guidance Document is also applicable to the operating mechanism of 1100kV circuit breakers and its ancillary equipment. In addition to the unipolar automatic reclosing circuit breakers, circuit breakers with a predetermined inter-pole differential are not included in this document Range. Bypass circuit breakers in parallel with line series capacitors and their protective equipment are not covered by this technical document.
