This Standard applies to various uses of unplasticized polyvinyl chloride (PVC- U) fittings.2 PrincipleIn this method, pretreat the fitting at (0 ± 1) °C for a prescribed period of time; let it freely fall from a prescribed height to a flat concrete floor within 10 s; observe the damage of the fitting.3 Instruments and apparatuses3.1 Stopwatch: the division value is 0.1 s. 3.2 Thermometer: the division value is 1 °C. 3.3 Constant-temperature water bath (ice water mixture inside) or cryogenic box: the temperature is (0 ± 1) °C.4 Test sample and its preparation4.1 The test sample is a complete fitting of injection molding.
