1 Scope

This standard specifies the method for direct ultrasonic testing of discontinuous pulse echoes in materials and components using electromagnetic acoustic transducers. This standard applies to the electromagnetic ultrasonic testing of carbon steel, low-alloy steel and non-ferrous metals with a thickness of 6mm~100mm. 4 Method summary

4.1 Detection principle The electromagnetic ultrasonic transducer that can generate perpendicularly incident ultrasonic waves is used for electromagnetic ultrasonic direct incidence detection.
