1 Scope

This standard specifies the UV index prediction method based on cloud amount, weather phenomenon and surface albedo correction for ground UV irradiance. This standard applies to the UV index forecasting work and related scientific research.

2 Terms and definitions

The following terms and definitions apply to this document. 2.1 Solar ultraviolet solarultraviolet; UV Solar radiation in the solar spectrum with a wavelength range of 100 nm to 400 nm, referred to as ultraviolet light. Note. The solar ultraviolet light can be divided into three bands according to the biological action of different wavelengths. See Appendix A for details. 2.2 Ultraviolet (line) irradiance UVirradiance The solar ultraviolet radiation power received per unit area. Note. The unit is watts per square meter (W/m2). 3 Index forecasting method

3.1 UV index calculation For the calculation of the UV index, see equation (1). IUV ≈ Quv·Cer ΔI (1) In the formula.
