1 Scope

This standard describes soil sampling at the following sites. --- Natural and near natural sites; ---Agricultural area (cultivated land and pasture land); --- Gardening areas (including family gardens, community vegetable gardens); ---Special crop cultivation, tree planting, vineyards, etc.; --- Forest areas and woodlands. This standard applies to. --- Soil investigation and evaluation in the field; --- Description of chemical, geochemical, physical, biological and radioactive characteristics of soil and soil materials in the laboratory after sampling. This standard provides for the handling of sampling procedures, field operations, and pre-preparation (such as drying, grinding). A suitable method is provided. Note. This standard can be used in conjunction with other national standards for soil quality where appropriate.
