1 Scope
This standard specifies the terms and definitions of natural or optimized unset polished turquoise, turquoise color, texture, surface cleanliness
Level rules, turquoise transparency, gloss, pattern description, turquoise grading requirements, quality measurement and grading certificates.
This standard applies to natural or optimized non-inlaid polished turquoise grades, inlaid polished turquoise can be used as reference.

3 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions as defined in GB/T 16552 and GB/T 16553 apply to this document.
3.1
Turquoise turquoise
A cryptocrystalline mineral aggregate containing aqueous copper aluminum phosphate, the main chemical component CuAl6(PO4)4(OH)8·4H2O, may contain a small amount

Turquoise is graded according to three aspects. color, texture, and surfaceclarity.
3.3
Color grading colorgrading
The coloration method is used to classify the turquoise color under specified conditions.
3.3.1
HSB color system HSBcolorsystem
The hue system of the object color is represented by the hue, saturation and lightness specified by the HSB color solid model (see Appendix A).
3.3.2
Hue hue
Indicates the color characteristics of turquoise blue, green, yellow, etc. The HSB color system is represented by the symbol H, on the hue circle, according to the angle value

Saturation saturation
The vividness of the color of the turquoise surface. The HSB color system is represented by the symbol S, according to the proportion of pure color in the whole vision.
