This document is in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Guidelines for standardization work Part 1.Structure and drafting rules for standardization documents" Drafting. This document replaces GB/T 32934-2016 "Chinese names of tropical cyclones worldwide". 3 Terms and definitions

The following terms and definitions apply to this document. 3.1 The Chinese names given to tropical cyclones around the world in the Chinese context correspond to their foreign names. 3.2 Based on the tropical cyclone name sequence, determine the order of replacement, rotation, and cancellation of Chinese names of tropical cyclones in different sea areas around the world rules.

4 Chinese names for tropical cyclones in the Northwest Pacific and the South China Sea

4.1 General Rules The division of the global tropical cyclone monitoring sea areas shall comply with the provisions of Figure A.1 in Appendix A. The original name of the tropical cyclone should be retained. 4.2 Naming conventions The Chinese name should be obtained in accordance with the requirements of Chapter 4 and Chapter 5 of GB/T 19202-2017.
