GB/T 2900.41 Electrotechnical terminology - Primary and secondary cells and batteries GB/T 19596 Terminology of electric vehicles3 Terms and definitionsThe following terms and definitions AND those specified in GB/T 2900.41 and GB/T 19596 apply to this Standard. 3.1 secondary cell A basic unit device composed of electrode, membrane, electrolyte, case and terminal which can directly transform chemical energy into power energy and be charged. 3.2 battery module A power supply combination of one or more secondary cell(s) which are connected in series or in parallel or both series and parallel with only one pair of positive and GB/T 31484-2015 negative output terminals. 3.3 battery pack A unit usually consisting of battery module, battery management module (without BCU), accumulator box and corresponding accessories, which can get electric energy from the outside and output electric energy to the outside. 3.4 battery system A energy storage equipment consisting of one or more than one battery pack(s) and corresponding accessories (management system, high voltage circuit, low voltage circuit, thermal management system, mechanical assembly, etc.). 3.5 rated capacity The capacity (Ah) released FROM the time when fully charged traction battery is discharged at the current of 1I1 (A) TO the time when it reaches to the final voltage under room temperature. 3.6 rated energy The energy (Wh) released FROM the time when fully charged traction battery is discharged at the current of 1I1 (A) TO the time when it reaches to the final voltage under room temperature.4 SymbolsThe following symbols apply to this document. C1.Rated capacity per 1 hour rate (Ah). I1.Discharge current per 1 hour rate, equal to C1 (A). Cnl. Actual discharging capacity per 1 hour rate (Ah). Inl. Actual discharging current per 1 hour rate, equal to Cnl (A).5 Requirements5.1 Discharge capacity under room temperature (initial capacity) 5.1.1 When the secondary cell is tested according to 6.2, its discharge capacity shall not be lower than the rated capacity and not exceed 110% of the rated capacity. Moreover, the initial capacity of all test samples shall not be greater than 5% of the average initial capacity. 5.1.2 When the battery module and system are tested according to 6.2, the discharge capacity shall not be lower than the rated capacity and not exceed 110% of the rated capacity. 5.2 Standard cycle life When standard cycle life test is conducted on test samples according to 6.4, the discharge capacity when the cycle time reaches to 500 times shall not be lower than 90% of the initial capacity, or the discharge capacity when the cycle time reaches to 1000 times shall not be lower than 80% of the initial capacity. 5.3 Operating-condition cycle life 5.3.1 If operating-condition cycle life test is conducted on the high power traction battery used for hybrid electric passenger vehicle according to 6.5.1, when the ratio between the total discharge energy and the initial energy of battery reaches to 500, measure the discharge capacity and 5 s discharge power. 5.3.2 If operating-condition cycle life test is conducted on the high power traction battery used for hybrid electric commercial vehicle according to 6.5.2, when the ratio between the total discharge energy and the initial energy of battery reaches to 500, measure the discharge capacity and 5 s discharge power. 5.3.3 If operating-condition cycle life test is conducted on the high energy traction battery used for electric passenger vehicle according to 6.5.3, when the ratio between the total discharge energy and the initial energy of battery reaches to 500, measure the discharge capacity. 5.3.4 If operating-condition cycle life test is conducted on the high energy traction battery used for electric power commercial vehicle according to 6.5.4, when the ratio between the total discharge energy and the initial energy of battery reaches to 500, measure the discharge capacity. 5.3.5 If operating-condition cycle life test is conducted on the traction battery used for plug-in or extended-range electric vehicle according to 6.5.3 or 6.5.4, when the ratio between the total discharge energy and the initial energy of battery reaches to 500, measure the discharge capacity.6 Test methods6.1 Test conditions 6.1.1 General conditions 6.1.1.1 Unless otherwise specified, the test shall be conducted at the temperature of 25°C ± 5°C, relative humidity of 15% ~ 90% and atmospheric pressure of 86 kPa ~ 106 kPa. The room temperature referred in this Standard means 25°C ± 2°C. 6.1.1.2 When the test sample is delivered, there shall have indispensable operation instructions and interfaced components used for interconnection with test equipment (such as connector, plug, including cooling interface). 6.1.1.3 Charging method. CHARGE according to the method specified by the manufacturer at room temperature; 6.1.1.4 Test method for capacity and energy. 6.1.1.5 Method for adjusting SOC to the test target value n%. 6.1.1.6 Test method for power. 6.1.1.7 In this Standard, tests for capacity and energy under room temperature (6.2) and power under room temperature (6.3) are applicable to secondary cell, module or GB/T 31484-2015 system; standard cycle life (6.4) test is applicable to secondary cell or module; and operating-condition cycle life (6.5) test is applicable to battery module or system. 6.1.1.8 The discharge current symbol of traction battery is positive; the charge current symbol is negative. 6.1.2 Requirements for the precision of measuring instrument and apparatus The precision of measuring instrument and apparatus shall meet the following requirements. 6.2 Capacity and energy under room temperature (initial capacity and energy) Under room temperature, test capacity and energy for 5 times according to the method in 6.1.1.4. 6.3 Power under room temperature (initial power) Under room temperature, measure power according to the method in 6.1.1.6. 6.4 Standard cycle life MEASURE standard cycle life according to the following procedures. 6.5 Operating-condition cycle life 6.5.1 High power traction battery used for hybrid electric passenger vehicle The cycle test consists of two parts. One is “main discharging operating condition”, its discharge quantity is slightly more than charge quantity, as shown in Figure 1 and Table 1.T 6.5.2 High power traction battery used for hybrid electric commercial vehicle The cycle test consists of two parts. One is “main discharging operating condition”, its discharge quantity is slightly more than charge quantity, as shown in Figure 4 and Table 4.The other is “main charging operating condition”, its charge quantity is slightly more than discharge quantity, as shown in Figure 5 and Table 5.The whole test procedure is shown in Table 6. 6.5.3 High energy traction battery used for electric passenger vehicle The cycle test consists of two parts.
