This document defines the general terminology of electric traction used in railway electrical equipment and systems, as well as those related to specific applications and related technologies. the term. 3 Terms and definitions

3.1 General terms 811-01-01 Electrictraction Traction method that supplies power to traction motors. Note. This term refers to the environmental requirements of vehicle on-board components, vehicle external power supply system components, and both. 811-01-02 DCtraction The traction mode in which the external DC power supply supplies power to the high-speed train. 811-01-03 Single-phase ACtraction A traction mode in which external single-phase AC power supplies power to the motor car. Note. The single-phase current supplied to the EMU may be the national grid frequency (power frequency) or the special frequency (dedicated frequency) of the railway system. 811-01-04 Three-phase ACtraction A traction mode in which an external three-phase AC power supply supplies power to the motor car. 811-01-05 Thermo-electric traction A traction method in which power is supplied by the prime mover on the high-speed train, and the energy is transmitted to the moving axle in the form of electric energy. 811-01-06 Battery-electrictraction A traction method powered by a battery on a motor car or trailer. 811-01-07 Stored kinetic energy traction A traction method powered by a flywheel on a motor car or trailer. 811-01-08 Train Rolling stock grouped together.
