3 Method summary

Reinforcing mannitol boronic acid, using phenolphthalein as indicator, titrated with standard sodium hydroxide droplets given.

4 Reagents

4.1 methyl red - bromocresol green mixed indicator. a methyl red ethanol solution (2g/L) and three bromocresol green ethanol solution (1g/L) mixing. 4.2 phenolphthalein indicator. 10g/L. 4.3 mannitol. AR. 4.4 sodium hydroxide standard titration solution. Ba (NaOH) = 0.1mol/L. Preparation of standard stock solution of sodium hydroxide 4.4.1 Weigh 2020g sodium hydroxide solution was 10L carbon dioxide-free pure water, stored in plexiglass bottle. Depending sodium carbonate Low sodium content, add two barium chloride (estimate each containing 1g of sodium carbonate plus 5g two barium chloride) was allowed to stand for several hours, so that barium carbonate precipitation was complete. Pipette the supernatant, add appropriate amount of sodium sulfate, after mixing overnight. 1L solution of sodium hydroxide containing about 5mol, whichever supernatant using or filter. 4.4.2 preparation of sodium hydroxide solution Pipette 200mL sodium hydroxide standard stock solution (4.4.1) in plexiglass flask, add carbon dioxide-free pure water will dilute 10L, mixing, Place the next calibration. 4.4.3 Calibration Weigh 0.5105g of potassium hydrogen phthalate reference reagent (at 110 ℃ ± 5 ℃ drying 2h ~ 3h, cooled to room temperature in a desiccator) to 250mL flask, add carbon dioxide-free water 80mL, heated to dissolve, add 1 drop of methyl orange indicator, with sodium hydroxide solution For calibration Droplet to the solution as a yellow end point mutation. 4.4.4 the actual concentration of sodium hydroxide standard titration solution (Ba) according to formula (1). Ba = m1 Vp × 0.2042 (1)
