Summary: This standard specifies the use of COSEM interface object, through the logical name (LN) references and short name (SN) cited data communications services. This standard COSEM client and server COSEM application layer provides a structure and protocol aspects of service specifications. COSEM server in a given connection can either use the LN references, you can use SN Quote: This application requires the establishment of a connection negotiation. COSEM client typically use LN connection if the client and server communications using SN references, LN services to be mapped to SN services. Appendix C gives APDU coding examples, Appendix D explains the data model and the data exchange protocol in the instrument 's role.

1 Scope

This section COSEM client and server COSEM application layer specification defines the structure, services and other aspects of the agreement. This section provides the use of COSEM interface object, by logical name (LN) references and short name (SN) cited data communication services. COSEM server in a given connection may be used LN references, you can also use SN Quote. This application requires the establishment of connection OK consultations. COSEM client typically use LN connection, if the client and server use to communicate with the reference SN, LN service to Mapped to SN service. Appendix C gives an example APDU encoding Appendix D explains the role of data models and protocols in the meter data exchange.
