For A.C. charging station, this Standard does not cover box type assemblies with socket-outlets, which is installed for the purpose of delivering energy to the vehicle and have no charging control functions. According to GB/T 18487.1, the charging mode of D.C. electric vehicle charging station shall be Mode 4. Vehicle charging control unit (VCCU) System embedded in the electric vehicle which controls the charging parameters of the off-board charger.4 General4.1 A.C. charging station A.C. electric vehicle charging station is all the equipment having special function of controlling charging and used for delivering A.C. power to the electric vehicle, which is installed in the same envelope. A.C. electric vehicle charging station may be connected to the electric vehicle in three different connection modes. 4.2 D.C. charging station Use supply wires and connectors to connect the charging station to the electric vehicle. The supply wires and connectors are permanently attached to the charging station in the connection mode C in GB/T 18487.1-2001.5 Standard Conditions for Operation in Service and forInstallation The rated value of the A.C. supply voltage is up to 660 V. The permissible voltage fluctuation shall be within ±10% of the nominal voltage. The rated value of the frequency is 50 Hz±1Hz.6 Rating of A.C. Input and D.C. Output Voltages and Current6.1 A.C. voltage/current input The recommended value of rated voltage and rated current shall be in accordance with the national standard. 6.2 D.C. voltage/current output The maximum permissible values of rated output voltage and current are 1000V and 400A.7 General Test Requirements7.1 All the tests in this Standard are type test. 7.2 Unless otherwise specified, type test shall be carried out on a single specimen as delivered and configured in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions. 7.3 Unless otherwise specified, the tests shall be carried out in the order of the clauses and subclauses in this Standard. 7.4 The tests shall be carried out with the specimen or any movable part of it placed in the most unfavourable position which may occur in normal use. 7.5 The tests shall be carried out in a draught open location and in general, 7.6 The parameters of the 50Hz A.C.8 Functions and Requirements8.1 Control functions For mode 3 charging, the electric vehicle charging station shall provide the control functions listed in 6.2 of GB/T 18487.1-2001 8.2 Safety connection check Continuously check the earthing connection. Charging is permissible only when the electric vehicle is in intact and correct connection. 8.3 Emergency service An emergency disconnection device shall be installed to isolate the A.C./D.C. electric vehicle charging station to turn off the A.C. 8.4 Permissible temperature The maximum permissible surface temperature of parts of the A.C./D.C. electric vehicle charging station which are hand touched, at an ambient temperature of 40°C, shall be. 8.5 Charging station protection degree (IP) 8.6 Location of connectors The lower part of the plug-socket installed (case A and B connections) shall be located at a height between 0.4 m and 1.5 m above the ground. Connector sheath shall be provided if connection mode C is adopted. The riding position of the connectors after charging is finished shall meet the previous requirements. The D.C. electric vehicle charging station shall provide a method to indicate whether the connectors are in right position after disconnection. 8.7 Cable housing on the A.C./D.C. electric vehicle charging station The A.C./D.C. electric vehicle charging station shall provide a method to store the cable correctly on the station after the disconnection. 8.8 Extension cable The use of an extension cable is to prohibit use of any unsafe (risk of overload, absence of protective conductor, etc.) connected components between the electric vehicle and the electric vehicle charging station. 8.9 Metering Metering (if necessary) shall be undertaken periodically to the charger and the associated tests shall be carried out in accordance with IEC 61036. 8.10 D.C. voltage/current output For D.C. charging station, the subclauses about the D.C. output value shall be the acceptable comprehensive value of the D.C. charging station and the electric vehicle. The relevant references may be found in GB 17478. 8.10.1 Rated output and maximal output power The D.C. charging station shall be able to deliver D.C. voltage to the electric vehicle in the [permissible] voltage range and the [permissible] current range within the limit of its maximum power at an ambient temperature of 40°C. 8.10.2 Output voltage and current error The error between the output voltage and current of the D.C. charging station, compared to the setting point sent by the electric vehicle shall not be greater than 1 % for the voltage and 5 % for the current. 8.10.3 Periodic and random deviation The periodic and random error of the output current shall not be greater than 10 % peak-to-peak, within the range [Imin, Imax] of the D.C. charging station. 8.10.4 Turn on inrush current (A.C./D.C. side) When turning on, the peak of the inrush current shall be limited within 10% of the maximum rated current of the charging station. 8.10.5 Transient process of turning off voltage When the switch disconnects, the peak of the voltage shall not exceed 140% of the actual working voltage. 8.10.6 Response time to a setting point sent by the electric vehicle The rise time of the outputs of the D.C. charging station to a step voltage signal (rise time between 10 % and 90 % of the setting point) sent by the vehicle, shall be less than 5s, with a unique overshoot less than 10 % during a few ms. The fall time to 0 A of the D.C. charging station shall be less than 50 ms after the D.C. charging station receives a shutdown order.9 Electrical SafetyThe general requirements for electrical safety shall be in accordance with the requirements of the national standard GB/T 18487.1.In addition, the following requirements shall be met. 9.1 Protection against electric shock in case of a fault (non-contact) RCD shall not be automatically reset. Automatic reset of other personnel protection devices should comply with national regulations. 9.2 Earthing electrode and continuity between the exposed conductive parts and the earthing circuit of the D.C. 9.3 Inspection of electrical continuity of the protective conductor of the electric vehicle In mode 3 charging, if the vehicle charging station detects failure in the electrical continuity of the protective conductor, the output of the electrical supply to the vehicle shall be switched off immediately.10 Dielectric Insulation Test10.1 Dielectric withstand characteristics 10.1.1 Dielectric strength The dielectric withstand voltage at the frequency of 50 Hz shall be as follows. 10.1.3 Insulation resistance The insulation resistance with a 500V D.C. voltage applied between all inputs/outputs connected together (power supply included) and the vehicle shall be. 10.2 Leakage current The leakage current shall be measured (see Figure 1 and Figure 2), the station being supplied under 1.1 times the rated voltage after the damp heat test (see 11.1.4). The value of the leak current shall not exceed that in Table 2. 10.3 Protective measures The protective measures against overcurrent and overvoltage shall comply with the requirements of GB 16895.5 and IEC 60634-4-443. 10.4 Electric clearance and creepage distance Electrical devices installed in the charging stations shall have electric clearances and creepage distances complying with those specified in relevant standards.
