Summary: This standard specifies test methods include: (1) measurement from small ground rod, ground plate to the plant grounding system, and other large-scale ground pole ground resistance and ground impedance, (2) measuring the ground potential, including measuring step voltage, the contact voltage and equipotential lines, (3) to improve the engineering design, proportional model test method, the test chamber predicted ground resistance and ground potential gradient, (4) measurement of soil resistivity. Listed in this standard test method is limited to the use of direct current, DC current cyclical commutation, sinusoidal AC currents and inrush current (used to measure the impact of grounding impedance). The guidelines do not include all possible means of testing and test methods.
