1 Scope

This document specifies the power supply, signal structure and information exchange between integrated circuit cards and interface devices (such as terminals). This document also includes signaling rates, voltage levels, current values, parity conventions, operating procedures, transmission mechanisms, and communication with the card. This document does not include information and instruction content, such as issuer and user identification, services and limitations, security features, logs and instruction definitions.
