And then it is examined and finalized jointly by relevant depmtments. This code comprises I 0 chapters and 3 appendixes with the main contents as follows. general provisions, ten11S, classification of fire hazards, general planning and general layout for factories, production and storage facilities, building and structure, fire water supply and drainage and fire extinguishing facilities, smoke control and smoke exhaust, heating, ventilating, and air conditioning as well as electricity. Provisions printed in bold type in this code are compulsory and must be enforced strictly. Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development is in charge of the administration of this code and the explanation of the compulsory provisions; China National Textile and Apparel Council together with Ministry of Public Security is responsible for the routine management and China Textile Industrial Engineering Institute is responsible for the explanation of specific technical contents.
