4 Principle

Lipstick is a mixture mainly composed of base materials (grease and wax) and color materials (dye, lake and pigment). The base material is the skeleton of lipstick Ingredients, mainly castor oil, higher fatty alcohols and higher esters of polyhydric alcohols, etc.The coloring material is the main component of lipsticks, and common ones are red bromate, aluminum, Lakes of calcium, barium, strontium and other salts, bismuth oxychloride and mica-titania films, etc. In addition, it also contains some additive ingredients, such as moisturizers (wool Fat, spermaceti, petrolatum, lecithin, glyceryl monostearate, etc.), hardeners (ceresin, carnauba wax, etc.) and flavors. Mouth with different ingredients Red has different infrared characteristic absorption, and the infrared spectroscopy can be used to compare the lipstick.

5 Reagents and materials

The required reagents and materials are as follows. a) Ethanol cotton ball; b) Scalpel or forceps.

6 Instruments and equipment

The required instruments and equipment are as follows. a) Infrared spectrometer, can be equipped with accessories such as infrared microscope, attenuated total reflection (ATR), diffuse reflection, diamond pool, etc.; b) Stereo optical microscope.

7 Sample preparation

7.1 Observe the appearance of the test material under a stereo optical microscope, and use a scalpel or tweezers to sample the lipstick sample.
