1 Scope

This standard describes the appearance defects common in nonwoven fabrics. This standard includes the following types of defects. --- Network defects; --- Consolidation defects; --- After finishing defects; --- Winding slitting defects; --- Other defects. Note. This standard is used to define the defects of non-woven fabrics, that is, some defects on the non-woven fabrics that are not intentionally generated by humans. These characteristics do not necessarily mean The product is below standard. Relevant parties need to agree on whether a certain appearance is confirmed as a defect. If both parties think there is a defect Point, you need to reach an agreement on the allowable range of the defect under the premise of considering the end use of the product.

2 Networking defects

2.1 Broken fiber The surface of spun-melt non-woven fabric has curved, columnar stiff fiber or polymer particles. Note. The causes of this defect are many, mainly including excessive moisture/ash content of the raw material, poor spinning of the spinneret, abnormal drafting, and poor cooling, etc., resulting in melting during spinning The body stream breaks. 2.2 Cloudspot The cloth surface has an uneven cloud-like appearance. Note. The causes of this defect mainly include that the spun-bonding process does not have a good meshing effect, the local fibers are not evenly distributed in the air-laid process, or the fiber comb The effect is not good. 2.3 Coke There are parts of the fabric that turn yellow or darker in color. Note. The cause of this defect is that during the high-speed carding process, the carding equipment appears to be stuck or wound around the roller, and the resulting high temperature causes the fiber to carbonize to form a yellow to brown Scorch. 2.4 Crease There are obvious fold marks on the cloth surface that cannot be removed. Note. The cause of this defect is that the fiber web was folded before being consolidated due to turning over, thinning, overlapping, etc., and was consolidated. 2.5 Fiber knot fiberknot There are clumps of fibers intertwined on the cloth. Note. The cause of this defect is mainly the improper fiber carding process.
