However, for the thin-walled steel tubes whose ratio OF wall thickness TO outer diameter is not greater than 3%, the out-of- roundness shall not exceed 2% of the nominal outer diameter. 4.3 Bending The bending of steel tubes shall not be greater than 1.5 mm/m. 4.4 End shape The end faces on both sides of each steel tube shall be perpendicular to the steel tube’s axis. Furthermore, REMOVE the burrs at the notches. 5 Technical requirements 5.1 Designations and chemical compositions of steels 5.1.1 The designations and chemical compositions (smelting analysis) of steels shall conform to the provisions of Table 2. According to the requirements of the demander, after the consultation between supplier and demander, and making indications in the contract, it is allowed to supply the steel tubes with other designations and chemical compositions. 5.1.2 The tolerances for the chemical compositions of finished steel tubes shall conform to the provisions of GB/T 222. 5.2 Manufacturing method 5.2.1 Steel tubes shall use rolled steel strips as raw materials, and automatic welding method without adding any filler metals for manufacture. 5.2.2 According to the requirements of the demander, after the consultation between supplier and demander, and making indications in the contract, it is allowed to conduct cold working to the steel tubes’ welding seams and base metal, or to only conduct cold working to the weld metal after welding and before final heat treatment. 5.3 Delivery status S - Nominal wall thickness of the steel tube, in unit of millimeter (mm); D - Nominal outer diameter of the steel tube, in unit of millimeter (mm); e - Coefficient of deformation per unit length. For the austenitic steel tubes and austenitic-ferritic duplex steel tubes, it shall be 0.09. For the ferritic steel tubes, it shall be 0.08. 5.6.2 Flanging test Steel tubes shall be conducted with flanging test.
