Foreword
This Standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.
This Standard replaces GB/T 19536-2004, Plywood for container flooring. Compared
with GB/T 19536-2004, the main differences of this Standard are as follows.
-- it changes application scope and adds bamboo-wood plywood for container
flooring and faced plywood for container flooring;
-- it adds categories;
-- it changes and supplements definitions;
-- it changes warping values in dimensions and dimensional deviations;
-- it changes appearance quality requirements;
-- it adds indexes and test methods for static bending strength, elasticity modulus
of bamboo-wood plywood for container flooring;
-- it cancels indexes and test methods for bonding strength;
-- it adds indexes and test methods for short-span shear force;
-- it adds indexes and test methods for concentrated load; and
-- it adds strength requirements and test methods for container flooring.

Plywood for Container Flooring
1 Application Scope
This Standard specifies the terms and definitions, classification, requirements, test
methods, inspection rules and marking, packaging, transportation and storage of
plywood for container flooring.
This Standard applies to plain or faced plywood which is generally used for container
flooring, made of wood veneers or bamboo-based elements (such as bamboo curtain,
bamboo mat and so on) and resistant to insects, corrosion and weathering.

3 Terms and Definitions
Those defined in GB/T 18259-2009 and the following terms and definitions apply to
this document.
3.1
plywood for container flooring
plywood which is generally used for container flooring, made of wood veneers or
bamboo-based elements (such as bamboo curtains, bamboo mats and so on) and
resistant to insects, corrosion and weathering
3.2
full-wood plywood for container flooring
plywood for container flooring, which is made by bonding wood veneers, including plain
plywood and faced plywood
3.3
bamboo-wood plywood for container flooring
plywood for container flooring, which is made by bonding bamboo elements and wood
elements, such as bamboo curtains and bamboo mats, including plain bamboo-wood
composite plywood and faced bamboo-wood composite plywood
4 Classification
4.1 It is divided into the following categories in accordance with materials.
a) full-wood plywood for container flooring; and
b) bamboo-wood composite plywood for container flooring.
4.2 It is divided into the following categories in accordance with surface treatment.
a) plain plywood for container flooring; and
b) faced plywood for container flooring.
5 Requirements
5.1 Structure
5.1.1 Full-wood plywood for container flooring
5.1.1.1 Face veneers shall be of full size with the tight surface facing outwards. The
vertical jointing of inner veneers shall not be more than 50% of the total number of
plies and shall not be more than 30 cm apart at the same location.
5.1.1.2 The veneers of symmetric plies on both sides of central ply shall be of the
same thickness, the same tree species or tree species of similar mechanical properties;
the grain direction shall also be the same.
As specified in the density measurement of GB/T 17657. The density of sample to be
tested is the arithmetic mean value of the densities of three test pieces, accurate to
0.01 g/cm3.
6.3.3 Water content test
As specified in the water content measurement of GB/T 17657. The water content of
sample to be tested is the arithmetic mean value of the densities of three test pieces,
accurate to 0.1%.
6.3.4 Static bending strength and elasticity modulus test
Carry out the test as specified in the “three-point bending” provisions for static bending
strength and elasticity modulus measurement in GB/T 17657.
The longitudinal and lateral static bending strength of sample to be tested is the
arithmetic mean value of the static bending strengths of three test pieces, accurate to
0.1 MPa.
The longitudinal and lateral elasticity modulus of sample to be tested is the arithmetic
mean value of the elasticity moduli of three test pieces, accurate to 10 MPa.
6.3.5 Immersion peeling performance test
Carry out the test as specified in the immersion peeling test in GB/T 17657. The
processing conditions of test pieces shall be as specified in the requirements for class
I immersion peeling test.
6.3.6 Short-span shear force test
6.3.6.1 Principle
Determine the maximum load borne by test pieces over a specified span.
6.3.6.2 Apparatus
Including.
a) universal mechanical tester, accurate to 10 N; and
b) Vernier caliper, division value 0.02 mm.
6.3.6.3 Test method
6.3.6.3.1 Test pieces are stored at (20 ± 2)˚C and relative humidity (65 ± 5)% to a
constant mass.
NOTE It is deemed that the mass is constant when the difference in mass measured two
times 24 h apart is less than 0.1% of the mass.
7.3.2 If the appearance quality, dimensions and mechanical performance of products
are as specified, then the batch of products is determined to be accepted, or else, it is
determined to be rejected.
8 Marking, Packaging, Transportation and Storage
8.1 Marking
8.1.1 Product marking
Products shall be marked at the proper positions with product name, manufacturer
name, product standard number, manufacturing date and inspection mark and so on.
8.1.2 Packaging label
Packaging label shall be indicated with product name, manufacturer name, address,
product standard number, manufacturing date, quantity and dampproof, sun protection
mark and so on.
