SAC/TC 305 is in charge of this English translation. In case of any doubt about the contents of English translation, the Chinese original shall be considered authoritative. This standard is drafted in accordance with the rules given in the GB/T 1.1—2009. This standard replaces the QB/T 1002—2005 Leather shoes. The main differences between this standard and the QB/T 1002—2005 are. —Add the terms and definitions; —Add infants and children’s leather shoes not included in the scope; —Delete the children’s shoe basing on wearing subjects in the classification; —Delete “Has Chinese shoe size” in the overall appearance; —Add odor requirement and test method; —Modify the non-examination situation and performance requirement of flexing resistance for whole shoe; —Add abrasion resistance requirement of top piece of leather shoe; —Modify the requirement and test method for heel hardness of moulded sole; —Add the requirement of length lower limit value and bending performance of steel shanks; —Add the colour fastness to rubbing for linings and insocks; —Add critical substances; —Modify the inspection rules; —Add the inspection method of discoloration in the Annex; —Modify the content of after-sale service period and treatment method. 1 Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, classifications, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, package, transportation and storage of leather shoes manufactured by various processes. This standard is applicable to the general wearing leather shoes (including boots) whose uppers are made of natural leather, artificial materials or other materials. This standard is not applicable to the shoes for the purpose of safety, protection or special function, nor leather shoes (including boots) for infants and children.

4.1 The products are classified into two categories by end users. 4.2 The products are classified into three categories by the upper materials.

5 Requirements

5.1 General requirements 5.1.1 The shoe sizes shall be in accordance with GB/T 3293.1. 5.1.5 The whole shoe shall be free from any defects affecting wear. 5.2 Marking It shall be in accordance with QB/T 2673. 5.3 Appearance quality The appearance quality shall be in accordance with Table 1, where items 1 to 5 and serious defects are major items, items 6 to10 are minor items. 5.5.4 Whole shoe flexing resistance 5.5.4.1 Take a 5 mm cut in the frontpart of outsole (except natural leather outsole), then flex 40,000 cycles, the flexing resistance shall be in accordance with Table 4. 5.5.4.2 Not applicable for the shoes in any of the following cases. 5.5.10.4 The shank may be free from the test for the shoes with wedge-heel, wooden sole or rigid plastic moulded sole (hardness no less than 80 Shore A). 5.5.11 Flexing index of insole fiberboard The flexing index of insole fiberboard shall be in accordance with Table 9. 5.6 Critical substances 5.6.1 Azo dyes The content of azo dyes shall be in accordance with Table 11.Annex B gives the list of harmful aromatic amines which are forbidden to be decomposed from dyes under reducing condition. 6 Test methods

6.1 Appearance quality The appearance quality shall be tested according to GB/T 3903.5—2011. 6.2 Odor 6.2.1 Test apparatus. desiccators with diameter of 300 mm. For the boots with quarter height no less 6.2.4 Specimen quantity. 1 pair. 6.2.5 Procedure. 6.2.6 Test result judgment. the odor grade of each shoe is judged according to those specified in Table 13.The consistent result obtained by more than half judging personnel is taken as the grade of the shoe under judgment. The highest grade is taken as test result of this group of specimens. Table 13 Footwear odor grades Grade Description 6.3 Upper-sole peeling strength It shall be tested according to GB/T 3903.3—2011, the blade width is 10 mm. 6.4 Outsole and midsole adhesion strength 6.6 Whole shoe flexing resistance It shall be tested according to GB/T 3903.1—2008. 6.7 Outsole abrasion resistance It shall be tested according to GB/T 3903.2—2008.For the outsole is made of two materials or more, test the loading position of outsole which contact with the ground. 6.8 Abrasion resistance of top piece 6.15 Critical substances 6.15.1 Azo dyes 6.15.1.1 Sample preparation. the lining and upper shall be tested separately, so do leather and textile. If the lining and upper can’t be separated, test them together by the method corresponding to lining material. 6.15.1.2 The textile shall be tested according to GB/T 17592—2011 and GB/T 23344—2009.The leather shall be tested according to GB/T 19942-2005. 6.15.2 Formaldehyde 6.15.2.1 Sample preparation. lining and upper shall be tested separately, so do leather and textile. If the lining and upper can’t be separated, test them together by the method corresponding to lining material.

7 Inspection rules

Except the inspection items and judgment rules, others shall be in accordance with QB/T 1187—2010. 7.1 Inspection items The inspection items shall be in accordance with Table 14. 7.2 Judgment 7.2.1 If the marking meets the requirement of Clause 5.2, it is judged as marking qualified, otherwise as unqualified. 7.2.2 If the physical and mechanical performances meet the superior requirements, critical substances and odor meet the requirements of this standard, the major items of appearance quality meet the superior requirements, the minor items meet the qualified requirements or above, the product is judged as superior product. 8 Marking, package, transportation, storage It shall be in accordance with QB/T 1187—2010.
