Foreword

This Part replaces GB/T 4701.6-1984 "Methods for chemical analysis of ferrotitanium 8-hydroxy quinoline volumetric method for determination of aluminum content." This portion of the GB/T 4701.6-1984 compared, mainly for the following technical modifications. --- Sample volume is adjusted by the 0.50g 0.25g; --- Nitric acid, hydrofluoric acid, sulfuric acid decomposition test material, residue for recycling instead of hydrochloric acid, nitric acid decomposition of the sample; --- Using hydrochloric acid - hexamethylenetetramine separation of interfering elements, instead of 8-hydroxy quinoline process separation of interfering elements; --- Instead of using EDTA titration adding an excess of potassium bromate standard titration solution, adding potassium iodide to generate iodine starch as a means Illustrated agent, sodium thiosulfate standard titration solution titration method. This part is proposed by the China Iron and Steel Association. This section is under the jurisdiction of Metallurgical Industry Information Standards Institute. This section is drafted. Sinosteel Jilin Ferroalloy Co., Ltd. The main drafters of this section. high Yumin, Liu, Yuan Ping, Zhang Guangrong. This part of the standard replaces the previous editions are. --- GB/T 4701.6-1984. Ilmenite aluminum content - EDTA titration Warning. Use of this section shall be a person experiences regular laboratory work. This section does not indicate that all possible security issues. Users have the responsibility to take appropriate safety and health practices and to ensure compliance with the conditions relevant national regulations.

1 Scope

This section specifies the determination of aluminum content of ilmenite EDTA titration. This section applies to the determination of aluminum content ilmenite, measurement range (mass fraction). 3.00% - 12.00%.
