1 Scope

This document specifies the test purpose, test conditions, test content and requirements, and evaluation of test results for the pressure test of submersibles and their pressure-bearing equipment. and test reports. This document applies to short-term hydrostatic external pressure tests of submersibles and their pressure-bearing equipment. Short-term still water for other subsea installations and their pressure-containing equipment The external pressure test can be carried out with reference to this document. Note 1.The submersible and its pressure-bearing equipment include the equipment parts on the submersible that are subjected to external pressure, and the submersible system or equipment with certain functions. The equipment parts include Pressure shells, buoyancy blocks, composite light shells, oil-filled pressure equipment and watertight connectors and cables, etc. Note 2.The short-term hydrostatic external pressure test is the external pressure that does not consider the effect of inertia and acceleration, the test medium is water, and the test pressure holding time is less than 24h test.
