NOTE. A failure can be the result of a failure, but a failure may also exist without a failure. [Source. GB/T 20921-2007, 2.8] 3.4 critical equipment criticalcomponent Equipment whose failure has a significant impact on the safe operation of the nuclear power plant and the availability of units or can lead to unacceptable consequences. 3.5 failure Loss of the ability to perform a prescribed function. NOTE. A failure is an event distinct from a failure, which is a state. [Source. GB/T 20921-2007, 2.7] 3.6 performance The behavior, characteristics and efficiency of equipment or machinery during the operation of the process. [Source. NB/T 20281-2014, 3.3]
