Foreword

This standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009. This standard was proposed by the State Administration of Cultural Heritage. This standard is under the jurisdiction of the National Cultural Relics Protection Standardization Technical Committee (SAC/TC289). This standard was drafted. Institute of High Energy Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences. The main drafters of this standard. Feng Songlin, Feng Xiangqian, Xu Qing, Yan Lingtong, Li Li. Ancient ceramic neutron activation analysis technical specification

1 Scope

This standard specifies the neutron activation analysis (NAA) measurement process of ancient ceramic chemical elements. Technical requirements. This standard applies to the quantitative measurement of the composition of chemical elements in ancient ceramics.

2 Terms and definitions

The following terms and definitions apply to this document. 2.1 Powder sample powdersample The porcelain and enamel were ground to a sample having a particle size of less than or equal to 74 μm (200 mesh).

3 Principle

Neutron activation analysis (NAA) is a sample that is irradiated with neutrons. The stable elements in the sample are activated as radioisotopes and emit gamma rays. The detector measures the characteristic gamma rays of various elements, identifies the elements according to the energy of the gamma rays, and determines the content of the elements by the intensity.

4 Irradiation type

4.1 Irradiation type Irradiation is divided into short and long photos according to the half-life of the radioisotope. 4.2 Short-sighted NAA Short-shot NAA is the sample irradiated in the reactor, the neutron fluence rate is (5~9.5)×1011n·cm-2·s-1, and the irradiation time is 30s. After cooling for 5 min to 30 min, the measurement is carried out to obtain the contents of elements such as Na, Ca, Ti, V, Al, K, Dy, and Mn. 4.3 Long exposure NAA Long-illuminated NAA is the sample irradiated in the reactor, the neutron fluence rate is 6×1013n·cm-2·s-1, the irradiation time is 8h, and the cooling is 5d~ 20d to measure, get As, La, Mo, K, Na, Sm, U, W, Ba, Ce, Co, Cr, Cs, Eu, Fe, Hf, Lu, Nd, Rb, Sb, Sc, The content of elements such as Sr, Ta, Tb, Th, Yb, Zn, and Zr.

5 sampling

Due to the differences between different individuals in ancient ceramic samples, in order to make the analysis data basically cover the range of variation and content of chemical elements. Statistical analysis of data requires the collection of ancient ceramic samples for neutron activation analysis. Each sample group requires 15 to 20 different individuals. sample.
