1 Scope

This standard specifies the principles, classification, code structure, coding method and classification and code of consumer goods classification. This standard applies to consumer goods information processing and information exchange. This standard does not apply to food, medicine, cosmetics, tobacco, special equipment, aircraft, ships, military products and other products.

3 Terms and definitions

4 Classification principles

4.1 Classification by use and object of use This standard is mainly based on the use of consumer goods and special use objects (children), taking into account the raw material properties of the product. 4.2 Classification code uniqueness The product codes of the consumer products in this standard are not duplicated and unique. 4.3 New products are storable "Other" items have been added to the new products of this standard.

5 category division

5.1 Major categories of products mainly refer to products that consumers use directly in their daily lives. 6 code structure and coding method

6.1 Code Structure This standard uses a hierarchical code, the code is divided into four levels, each level is named as a large class, a medium class, a small class, a group class.
