1 Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, composition, treatment and disposal methods and safety requirements for high-boiling substances in the vinyl chloride rectification process. This standard is applicable to the treatment and disposal of high boilers in the process of producing vinyl chloride by calcium carbide process.

3 Terms and definitions

The following terms and definitions apply to this document. 3.1 High boiling The organic mixture of acetylene and hydrogen chloride to synthesize vinyl chloride from the high boiling column during rectification.

The vinyl chloride gas is collected and reused, and the components such as dichloroethane having a boiling point higher than that of vinyl chloride are left in the tower, and the content of vinyl chloride in the kettle is sampled and analyzed. After lower, the kettle liquid is stably produced into the tower liquid storage tank. The separation of dichloroethane is the separation tank of the vinyl chloride separation tower.
