1 Scope

This standard specifies the cargo ship railing (hereinafter referred to as the railing) of material, design, construction and installation, manufacturing and finish quality. This standard applies to the installation on the cargo exposed freeboard deck and superstructure deck to prevent persons falling overboard or lower deck railing. This standard does not apply to compass mounted near the railing.
