1 Scope

This document specifies the production safety requirements for onshore oil and gas exploration operations. This document is applicable to the exploitation of onshore oil and gas (including shale gas), and the exploitation of coalbed methane can be used as a reference.

3 Terms and Definitions

The following terms and definitions apply to this document. 3.1 Production areas that contain or may contain hydrogen sulphide. Note 1.Without taking any personal protective measures, the maximum concentration of hydrogen sulfide gas that will not cause harm to human health is 15mg/m3 (10×10-6). Note 2.If no personal protective measures are taken within 8h, the maximum acceptable concentration of hydrogen sulfide gas is 30mg/m3 (20×10-6). Note 3.Without any personal protective measures, the minimum concentration of hydrogen sulfide that will have irreversible or delayed effects on human health is 150mg/m3 (100×10-6). 3.2 The total pressure of natural gas is equal to or greater than 0.4MPa, and the partial pressure of hydrogen sulfide is equal to or greater than 0.0003MPa; or sulfide in formation natural gas The hydrogen content is equal to or greater than 75mg/m3 (50×10-6). Note 1.This definition refers to the medium containing hydrogen sulfide in pipelines, containers, formations or wellbore. Note 2.Hydrogen sulfide is mainly aimed at the intrinsic safety impact of equipment and facilities.
