Lithium Sulfate1 ScopeThis Standard specifies the requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, storage, quality certificate and order form (or contract) content. This Standard is applicable to solid by-product lithium sulfate, which is generated during the preparation of lithium iron phosphate through wet process.2 Normative ReferencesThe following documents are indispensable to the application of this Standard. In terms of references with a specified date, only versions with a specified date are applicable to this Standard. GB/T 191 Packaging - Pictorial Markings for Handling of Goods GB/T 6678-2003 General Principles for Sampling Chemical Products3 Requirements3.1 Chemical Composition Lithium sulfate’ chemical composition shall comply with the stipulations in Table 1. 3.2 Appearance Quality Products shall be white crystalline particles and have certain fluidity. There shall be no visible foreign inclusions.4 Test Methods4.1 The chemical composition analysis of the products shall be conducted in methods which are approved by the demand-side and the supply-side.5 Inspection Rules5.1 Inspection and Acceptance Inspection 5.2 Group Batch Products shall be submitted for acceptance inspection in batches. Each batch shall be constituted of products of the same mixing materials. The net weight of each batch of products shall be not more than 10 t. 5.3 Inspection Items Inspection items and sampling location shall comply with the stipulations in Table 2. 5.4 Sampling 5.5 Determination of Inspection Result 5.5.1 When the result of chemical composition analysis is disqualified, take a doubled size of samples from the same batch of products to conduct re-inspection of the disqualified items. If the samples still fail in one of the items in the re-inspection result, then, this batch of products shall be determined as disqualified.6 Marking, Packaging, Transportation, Storage and Quality Certificate6.1 Marking On product packaging, the following shall be indicated. 6.2 Packaging Products shall adopt lined with plastic film bag. On the outside, products shall be covered with double-layer packaging of plastic woven bag, or, be packed through plastic coated bag. The internal bag shall be tied or heat-sealed; the external bag shall be firmly sealed. 6.3 Transportation Products which are packed in accordance with the requirements in 6.2 may be transported through various modes.
