This Standard applies to the cold drawn special shaped steel bars of high quality carbon structural steel and alloy structural steel with a cross-sectional area greater than 30mm2. When delivered in specified-length and multiple-length, it shall be indicated in the contract. 4.5 Delivery weight 4.5.1 The special shaped steel bars shall be delivered according to the actual weight, and may also be delivered according to the theoretical weight. 4.5.2 The special shaped steel bars delivered without cutting heads shall be deducted from the weight of the head deformation portion by 2%. 4.6 Marking example The FD-X asymmetric section cold drawn special shaped steel bar, made of #20 high-quality carbon structural steel, with a dimensional accuracy of Grade 12, is marked as: Cold drawn special shaped steel bar5 Technical requirements5.1 Designation and chemical components The designation of the special shaped steel bar shall be indicated in the contract, and its chemical components (melting analysis) shall comply with the provisions of GB 699 and GB 3077. According to the agreement between the supplier and the demander and indicated in the contract, it may be manufactured with the designation of other steel types. 5.2 Delivery state The special shaped steel bars shall be delivered in a cold drawn state. According to the requirements of the demander, it may be delivered in a state of heat treatment (annealing, normalizing, tempering, etc.), but it shall be indicated in the contract. 5.3 Mechanical properties 6 Decarburization (Different pieces of steel) 2 GB 224 6.2 The overall dimensions and bending of the special shaped steel bar shall be measured at 150mm from the end (for the special shaped steel bars without cutting heads, the length of the head deformation portion shall be removed). 6.3 The surface defect depth of the special shaped steel bar may be inspected and determined after grinding with a grinding wheel, a file or an abrasive cloth if necessary.7 Acceptance rules7.1 Inspection and acceptance The inspection and acceptance of the special shaped steel bar shall be carried out by the technical quality supervision department of the supplier. 7.2 Batch grouping rules The special shaped steel bars shall be accepted in batches. Each batch shall consist of special shaped steel bars of the same furnace tank number, the same overall dimensions, and the same heat treatment furnace (at the time of heat treatment). 7.3 Sample size The sample size for the inspection of the special shaped steel bar shall comply with the provisions of Table 4. 7.4 Re-inspection and decision rules The re-inspection and decision rules of the special shaped steel bar shall comply with the provisions of GB 2101.8 Packaging, marking and quality certificate8.1 For special shaped steel bars, the packaging shall be in accordance with the provisions for Class I packaging of GB 2101; and the marking and quality certificate shall be in accordance with the corresponding provisions of GB 2101. 8.2 The special shaped steel bars treated by surface phosphating may also be delivered by dipping (coating) rust-preventative oil according to the requirements of the demander. ......Source: Above contents are excerpted from the full-copy PDF -- translated/reviewed by: www.ChineseStandard.net / Wayne Zheng et al.
