This Standard applies to copper and copper alloy contact wires for electric railway contact systems. Contact wires for overhead contact systems of urban rail transit and industrial and mining enterprises may also refer to this Standard.2 Normative referencesThe following documents are indispensable for the application of this document. For the dated references, only the editions with the dates indicated are applicable to this document. For the undated references, the latest edition (including all the amendments) are applicable to this document. GB/T 467-2010 Copper cathode3 Terms and definitionsThe following terms and definitions apply to this document. Contact wire The wire in the overhead contact system of electric railway which is in contact with a locomotive pantograph strip and transmits current.4 Product classification4.1 Model Contact wire product model is classified according to copper and its alloying element category, tensile strength grade, and nominal sectional area; and is Refer to GB/T 3048.2. Prepare a sample with a length of 40 mm; USE buoyancy method to measure the density of contact wire; and then calculate the cross- sectional area. 7.3 Resistivity, conductivity test Refer to GB/T 3048.2. USE four-end method for double-arm bridge to measure. Before the measurement, LET the sample stand at a constant temperature of 20 °C±0.5 °C for 24 h. When measuring, the sample is mounted on a fixture; and a current of 8 A is applied. In order to eliminate the influence of thermoelectric potential, USE the method of switching the positive and negative polarities of power supply to take the average to measure. If the sample surface is dirty or rusted, it shall be treated with alcohol cotton or fine sandpaper before measurement. If the ambient temperature does not meet 20 °C±0.5 °C (but the ambient temperature still needs to be controlled within 20 °C±5 °C), according to the temperature coefficient of resistance, it shall be converted to the resistance, resistivity, or conductivity at 20 °C. The temperature coefficient of resistance is given in Table 3. 7.4 Breaking force, tensile strength, and elongation tests Refer to GB/T 4909.3. The gauge length of sample is 250 mm. At a speed of 20 mm/min, uniaxially STRETCH until breaking. RECORD the breaking force value; and calculate the tensile strength. The breaking force value is the maximum force value during the breaking of contact wire. After aligning the two breaks of the contact wire after the break, USE a Vernier caliper to measure the length after the break. Then the elongation is calculated. 7.5 Breaking force test after softening After the sample is placed in a thermostat at a temperature of 300 °C±5 °C for 2 h, the sample is taken out, naturally cooled to room temperature. According to the test method of 7.4, the breaking force test is carried out. 7.6 Torsion test Refer to GB/T 4909.4. The gauge length of sample is 250 mm. During the test, the tension applied is 1% of the rated breaking force. The torsion test speed is 1 r/min~10 r/min. One-way torsion of 360° is 1 loop, until the specified number of loops is reached, or the sample is broken. RECORD the number of torsion loops. 7.7 Reverse bend test Refer to GB/T 4909.5. Install and clamp the sample to fix the bending point. The bending radius is 30 mm. When starting the test, first BEND to the small arc surface. It is counted as once when the sample is bent 180° (i.e. starting from the original position and back to the original position). The test speed shall be no more than 30 times/min. During the test, the bending point is carefully observed. The number of times when the sample has a crack with a length of about 5 mm and a depth of about 1 mm is recorded as “number of cracks”. The number of times when the sample is completely broken is recorded as “number of breaks”. 7.8 Winding test Refer to GB/T 4909.7. The diameter of the winding mandrel of copper and copper-silver alloy contact wires is φA. The diameter of the winding mandrel of copper-tin, copper-magnesium, and copper-chromium-zirconium alloy contact wires is 2φA. At the beginning of the test, the small arc surface faces outward; and the great arc surface is evenly wound 3 coils inward. The sample surface shall be free from cracks, peeling, and fracture. The test speed shall be no more than 10 r/min. 7.9 Current-carrying capacity test The test shall be carried out indoors, without wind and sunshine. There shall be no objects which affect heat dissipation around. Continuous current-carrying capacity I∞. A sample with a length of 6 m is mounted on the test rack. A 10 kN tension is applied. A thermocouple with compensation is used as the temperature sensor. The thermocouples (not less than 5) are evenly laid on the contact wire; the test current is applied; and the temperature is measured every 30 min. When the difference between the temperature measured continuously for 3 times and the maximum allowable working temperature T is not more than 1 °C, the current value at this time is the continuous current-carrying capacity I∞s at this ambient temperature. If the difference between the temperature measured on the contact wire and the maximum allowable working temperature T is large, it is necessary to reduce to the room temperature and adjust the current before re-testing. 20 min overload current-carrying capacity I20. First apply 60% of the continuous current-carrying capacity current value to the sample. After 0.5 h, according to about 1.13 times the continuous current-carrying capacity current, apply the overload current. After 20 min, and the temperature reaches the same maximum allowable working temperature T, the current value at this time is the 20 min overload current-carrying capacity I20s at this ambient temperature. If the difference between the temperature measured on the contact wire and the maximum allowable working temperature T is large, it is necessary to reduce to Exit-factory inspection. testing of all products. 8.3 Judgement of inspection results The judgement number for category A unqualified items is [0, 1], where the angle is judged as [4; 1, 2]; The judgement number for category B unqualified items is [2, 3], where the dimension is judged as [4; 2, 3]; Based on the respective judgements of categories A and B, the comprehensive judgement is made. The judgement scheme is [0, 1].9 Packaging and marking9.1 Packaging 9.1.1 Packaging requirements The contact wire in coils shall be covered with moisture-proof, anti-corrosive, and water-proof materials, and then packaged firmly with hard materials.
