NOTE. It is recommended to select clamping range according to outer diameter of hose. The outer diameter of hose is the middle value of the clamping range. For example, if the outer diameter of the hose is 64 mm, a clamp with a clamping range of 52 mm to 76 mm shall be selected. a is a recommended value. The recommended tightening torque shall be determined according to the structure of the pipe joint, the hose material, the sealing medium and the pressure. The maximum value shall be less than the guaranteed torque.5 Technical ConditionsThe technical conditions shall be in accordance with the requirements of Table 3. Worm thread The thread is right-handed, the specific parameters are determined by the manufacturer Surface defect The end edge of the toothed belt shall be rounded or curled outwards, without burrs and sharp edges Prohibited substances Clamps on passenger car shall comply with the provisions of GB/T 30512 Marking The clamping range shall be marked on the toothed belt.6 Test Methods6.1 Dimensions Use the dimensions in Figure 3 to inspect the mandrel and the clamping range D. Use universal gauges to inspect the remaining dimensions. NOTE. Dmax and Dmin are both the limit values of clamping range; length l shall be selected appropriately. Figure 3 – Dimensional inspection mandrel 6.2 Materials The materials shall meet the technical requirements and provide material inspection certificates and be inspected when necessary. 6.3 Strap toughness The toothed belt is bent 180° around a 4.8 mm steel mandrel and straightened again at the bend of the toothed belt. The toothed belt shall not break, crack or have other failure forms during and after the test. 6.4 Corrosion resistance The sample state of the test is in bulk. The clamp is subjected to neutral salt spray test in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 10125; and the corrosion resistance time shall meet the requirements of Table 3. 6.5 Torque 6.5.1 Test conditions A new clamp shall be used for the test; and the test clamp shall not be trimmed or relubricated. The maximum error of the torque wrench is ±3%. 6.5.2 Free torque When the clamp is in the supply state, if rotating the worm in any direction, the torque of the Type B clamp shall not exceed the value specified in Table 1, and the torque of the Type C clamp shall not exceed the free torque value specified in Table 2. 6.5.3 Guaranteed torque Assemble the clamp on the Dmin dimensional inspection mandrel (see Figure 3); rotate the worm; and the Type B clamp shall reach the guaranteed torque value specified in Table 1.And the Type C clamp shall reach the guaranteed torque value specified in Table 2.After removing the torque, visually inspect the clamp assembly. No yield deformation or other defects that affect performance are allowed, and it can be reused. 6.5.4 Repeated tightening torque Assemble the clamp on the Dmax and Dmin ends of the dimensional inspection mandrel in turn; rotate the worm; and the torque reaches the tightening torque specified in Table 1.Repeat each for 2 times, and the clamp shall not lose its function. 6.6 Sealing test 6.6.1 Test conditions New clamp and hose shall be used; and the maximum error of pressure measurement is 3%. The sealing test shall use the device shown in Figure 4.The outer diameter of the hose is close to the average value of the clamping range D of the clamp. The hose and the test mandrel shall be a clearance fit.
