This Standard is applicable to the leather with odor requirements.2 Devices2.1 Test cans, metal cans or glass jars, with a volume of approximately 1 L, are odorless at room temperature and 65°C, with suitable lids which shall be easily opened and replaced. 2.2 Oven, with air circulation system capable of maintaining temperature at (65±3)°C.3 Test environmentThe test shall be carried out in an environment where the odor is freely distributed, and the space for adjustment shall be as ideal as possible, but not required.4 TesterThe tester shall have no olfactory defects; smokers, users of heavy-scented cosmetics, traditional scent or tobacco are not suitable as testers.5 Sampling and sample preparation5.1 Sampling Cut two representative samples. The size of the sample is 125mm × 100 mm.6 Procedures6.1 In order to avoid pollution, it is necessary to clean the test cans (including the lids) before the test. First, wash them with hot water, wash them with a proper amount of laboratory detergent, then rinse them with cool-water and dry them to keep them clean. 6.3 Place the blank contrast cans and test cans together in an oven pre- adjusted to (65±3)°C for 1h. 6.4 Remove the blank contrast can from the oven.
