Appendix A

(Normative) Information element The following information elements are used in the application service data units defined in this companion standard, which are constructed in accordance with the definition of GB/T 18657.4-2002. A.1 Single point information with quality descriptors (IEV 371-02-07) (SIQ) SIQ : = CP8{SPI, RES, BL, SB, NT, IV} SPI = Single point information: = BS1[1]< 0..1> (TYPE 6) < 0> : = Open < 1> : = Close RES=RESERVE : = BS3[2...4] < 0> (TYPE 6) BL : = BS1[5] < 0...1> (TYPE 6) < 0> : = Unblocked < 1> : = Blocked SB : = BS1[6] < 0...1> (TYPE 6) < 0> : = Unsubstituted < 1> : = Substituted NT : = BS1[7] < 0...1> (TYPE 6) < 0> : = Current value < 1> : = Non-current value IV : = BS1[8] < 0...1> (TYPE 6) < 0> : = Valid < 1> : = Invalid A.2 Quality descriptor (single octet) (QDS) NT = current value / non-current value If the most recent refresh succeeds, the value is called the current value. If the refresh is unsuccessful within a specified time interval or its value is not available, the value is called a non-current value. IV = valid / invalid If the value is validly collected, it is valid. If the acquisition function confirms the abnormal state of the information source (loss or non-work refresh device), the value is invalid. The value of the information object is not defined under these conditions and is identified as invalid to remind the user that this value is incorrect and cannot be used. A quality descriptor is composed of five quality bits, which can be set independently of each other. The quality descriptor provides the control station with additional information on the quality of the information object. The information object's quality descriptors are transparently passed through the monitoring system (from data collection to the communication interface) and must not be modified by the intermediate equipment. Example 1: Since the field interface is in test mode, the circuit breaker status is blocked, in which case the quality descriptor (BL = 1 "blocked") will be transmitted unchanged from the field interface, through all layers of the system to the control station. Example 2: When the data acquisition is disturbed, the measured value will be automatically or manually assigned a substitute value, the substituted measured value is transmitted together with the quality bit SB=1 "substituted". If the information object value is marked with a new quality descriptor for a particular condition, the quality descriptor will be reset dynamically or automatically when the condition changes. A change in the quality descriptor each time will initiate a burst transmission of the affected information object. When a time-stamped information object is transmitted, its time stamp is the time at which the quality descriptor changes. The station calling process calls all information objects, which are defined by a particular call group and are independent of the content of the quality descriptor. When the information object is called, the quality descriptor contains the most recent state. This ensures that the integrity check can be implemented at the control station.
