Industrial stearic acids1 ScopeThis Standard specifies product classification, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules and marks, packaging, transport, storage and shelf life of industrial stearic acids. This Standard is applicable to industrial stearic acids that are obtained by processing and refining animal and vegetable oils after hydrolysis (the main components are octadecanoic acid and palmitic acid). The products of the same specification, of same batch number delivered at one time are one delivery batch. The products delivered by manufacturer shall be first inspected as accepted by manufacturer’s quality inspection depart according to the provisions of this Standard. Then issue product quality inspection certificates before they are exited from factory. The product quality inspection certificate shall include manufacturer’s name, product name, trademark, reference standard used, type, level, batch number, batch size, quality indicator, production date. The receiver shall accept the products according to the product’s quality inspection certificate. When necessary, perform sampling, acceptance or arbitration within one month according to the provisions of 6.2.2. 6.2.2 Sampling According to the batch size, determine the sample size according to Table 2.
