For generators. 7 V for 6 V systems, 14 V for 12 V systems; 28 V for 24 V systems. 1.3 Single wire system The wiring method which uses the metal part of the car body as the electrical circuit. 1.4 Earth, ground In the single-wire system, the product casing is connected to the vehicle body, as a conductor of the electrical circuit. Superseded synonym. crystal ignition system. 4.3 Inductive ignition system An ignition system, that stores primary energy in an ignition coil. 4.4 Capacitor discharge ignition system Ignition system, that stores primary energy in capacitors. 4.5 Semi-conductor assisted ignition system Semiconductor ignition systems, which use the contact breaker. 4.6 Breakless ignition system Ignition system without contact breaker. 4.7 Distributorless ignition system An ignition system, that does not require a rotating high-voltage distributor. 4.8 Secondary available voltage The minimum voltage available at the spark plug connection, under specified conditions. 4.9 Required spark plug voltage The maximum voltage, that must be applied to the spark plug terminal, when the spark plug electrode gap flashes, under specified conditions. 4.17 Peak coil current In an inductive ignition system, the peak current, that passes through the primary winding of the ignition coil. 4.18 Interruption current In an inductive ignition system, the current, that flows through the primary winding, when the power is turned off. 4.19 Contact breaker current Under specified conditions, the contact current, that flows through the power-off triggering device, at the moment when the contact is opened. 4.20 Primary supply voltage Under specified conditions, the DC voltage of the ignition system's primary terminal. 4.21 Coil primary induced voltage The voltage, which is induced in the primary winding of the coil, due to changes in the magnetic flux.5 Small-power motor5.1 Wiper motor Electric motor with reducer, that drives the wiper mechanism.
