This document is Part 3 of GB/T 44083 "Road vehicles - Method and rules for the evaluation of the usability of child restraint systems and their compatibility with vehicle anchorages". GB/T 44083 has published the following parts: - Part 2: Child restraint systems using vehicle belts; - Part 3: Securing and daily maintenance of child occupants in child restraint systems; - Part 4: Booster seat and booster cushion. Compared with ISO 29061-4:2017, this document has made the following structural adjustments: - RE-ARRANGE the order of terms in Chapter 3, according to the logical relationship and order of appearance; - RE-NUMBER the serial numbers of the tables, merging the Tables 1.1 ~ Table 1.2 and Tables 2.1 in ISO 29061-4:2017 into Table 1 and Table 2, respectively. The technical differences and reasons between this document and ISO 29061-4:2017 are as follows: - ADD the normative reference GB 27887 (see Chapter 3), as the source of some child restraint system related terms; - USE the normative reference GB/T 44083.2 to replace ISO 29061-3 (see 4.1.1), to adapt to China’s technical conditions and improve operability; - Some terms and definitions adopt the relevant descriptions in GB 27887 (see 3.1, 3.2, 3.4, 3.5.2), which are consistent with relevant national standards and easy to understand; - ADD the terms and definitions of 3.2 about children's harness belts, to facilitate the understanding and use of other terms. It is best to be conducted by persons who are not familiar with this child restraint system and vehicle. The evaluation process does not include the process of unpacking the child restraint system, taking it out of the packaging box and plastic protective cover, taking out the instruction manual; however, other preparation processes of the child restraint system before use need to be considered and evaluated in the evaluation form. 4.1.7 The use mode of the child restraint system and the installation location in the vehicle shall be determined in advance and recorded in the evaluation form. 4.1.8 First evaluate the labeling and instruction manual; finally evaluate the convenience of child occupant in the child restraint system on the vehicle seat. 4.2 Scoring rules 4.2.1 The scoring rules consist of the evaluation results and weighting coefficients of each evaluation item. All evaluators give a unified evaluation result for each evaluation item, the evaluation results are divided into good, medium, poor, with corresponding scores of 3, 1, 0, respectively. The weighting coefficients are divided into A, B, C, with corresponding scores of 3, 2, 1, respectively. The score obtained by multiplying the above two scores is the score of the evaluation item. For example: if the evaluation result is "good" and the weighting coefficient is "A", the score of this item is the highest score, that is, 9 points. 4.2.2 The final evaluation result is expressed as a score rate, which is determined by the ratio of the actual score value to the highest score value that can be obtained. For details, see Appendix A. The final evaluation results can be graded with reference to Appendix B. Note: The highest score values that can be obtained for different products may be different.5 Usability evaluation formThe usability evaluation form for the riding and daily maintenance of child occupants in child restraint systems includes three parts: the evaluation of the child restraint system itself, the evaluation of the riding of child occupants in the child restraint system, the comprehensive evaluation.
