1 Scope

This document specifies the requirements and methods for carrying out functional safety audits and assessments of functional safety-related activities and work results at the concept stage and system level of safety-related electrical/electronic (E/E) systems, so as to inspect and judge the development process and conformity of work products with respect to functional safety. This document applies to safety-related systems containing one or more electrical/electronic (E/E) systems installed on production road vehicles other than mopeds. This document does not apply to specific electrical/electronic (E/E) systems on special purpose vehicles, for example, vehicle systems designed for disabled drivers.

3 Terms and definitions

For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions defined in GB/T 34590.1- 2022 apply.

4 General requirements

The audit and assessment requirements defined in GB/T 43253.1-2023 apply to this document. Functional safety audits and assessments at the conceptual stage and system level mainly involve the following contents.

5 Definition of related item

5.1 Goal The goal of this chapter is to audit and assess the definition documents of relevant items as functional safety development objects, so as to check whether their definitions are accurate and sufficient to support subsequent functional safety activities. 5.2 Input for audit and assessment To carry out the audit and assessment process specified in this chapter, the following inputs and their possible verification reports shall be available. 5.3 Audit and assessment requirements The audit and assessment of relevant item definitions shall cover the inspection items in Table 1.

6 Hazard analysis and risk assessment

6.1 Goal The goal of this chapter is to audit and assess the hazard analysis and risk assessment process and analysis results to check. 6.3 Audit and assessment requirements For the audit and assessment of hazard analysis and risk assessment, the check items in Table 2 and Table 3 shall be covered.

7 Functional safety concept

7.1 Goal The goal of this chapter is to audit and assess the functional safety concept development process and results to check. 7.2 Input for audit and assessment To carry out the audit and assessment process specified in this chapter, the following inputs and their possible verification reports shall be available. 7.3 Audit and assessment requirements For the audit and assessment of the content of the functional safety concept document of electrical/electronic systems, the check items in Table 4 shall be covered.

8 Technology safety concept

8.1 Goal The goal of this chapter is to audit and assess the relevant work results of the system- level product development phase with technical safety concepts and technical safety requirements as the core, so as to check whether their definition meets the needs of functional safety development. 8.2 Input for audit and assessment To carry out the audit and assessment process specified in this chapter, the following inputs and their possible verification reports shall be available. 8.3 Audit and assessment requirements The audit and assessment of work results related to the development of technical safety concepts shall cover the check items in Table 5.

9 Verification and validation

9.1 Goal The goal of this chapter is to audit and assess the work results related to verification and validation to check. 9.2 Input for audit and assessment To carry out the audit and assessment process specified in this chapter, the following inputs and their possible verification reports shall be available. 9.3 Audit and assessment requirements For verification and validation audits and assessments, the check items in Table 6 and Table 7 shall be covered.
