This standard applies to the categories M and N vehicles equipped with blind spot detection systems. When it is manually turned off, the status indication shall be given with an indication signal in accordance with 4.4.2. 4.3 Activation requirements When the BSD system is turned on and in an inactive state, the system can detect the target vehicle, but shall not warn the driver. When the BSD system is activated, the system can be activated by at least one of the following methods. 4.4 Human-computer interaction requirements 4.4.1 Warning method The system shall send out warning messages in a way that is easy to be perceived by the driver and can clearly indicate the side where the target vehicle appears. The warning indication information shall be clearly distinguished from the warning information of other systems in the vehicle. 4.4.2 On/off indication requirements The system shall have an indication of the on/off state. The indications shall be visible visually. 4.4.3 System failure indication requirements The system shall have a system failure indication reminder function. Its reminder status identification shall be clearly observed by the driver. 4.5 Self-check requirements The system shall have at least the following self-check functions. 4.6 Others The signs of the controls, indicators and tell-tales of the blind spot detection system shall meet the relevant requirements of GB 4094.5 Performance requirements5.1 Overview 5.1.1 Blind spot detection range for categories M1, N1 vehicles The blind spot detection range of categories M1 and N1 vehicles is as shown in Figure 4. 5.2 Technical requirements 5.2.1 Target vehicle test requirements The blind spot detection function shall cover the adjacent areas on the left and right sides. 5.2.2 Warning requirements for blind spot detection function 5.2.2.1 Left blind zone warning requirements Carry out a straight-line driving test according to 6.3.2.When the target vehicle is within the range listed in the following conditions (see Figure 4 and Figure 5), the system shall issue a left blind zone warning. 5.2.2.2 Right blind zone warning requirements Perform a straight-line driving test according to 6.3.2.When the target vehicle is within the range listed in the following conditions (see Figure 4 and Figure 5), the system shall issue a right blind zone warning. 5.2.2.3 Warning requirements for right turning blind spot of categories M2, M3, N2, N3 vehicles 5.2.3 System response 5.2.3.1 System response time When the target vehicle enters the blind spot detection range from the side and rear, the time from when the target vehicle enters the blind spot detection range to when the system issues a warning shall not exceed 300 ms. 5.2.3.2 Optional blind spot warning suppression If the subject vehicle is overtaking the target vehicle, meanwhile the target vehicle enters the monitoring range from the front, the blind zone warning can be suppressed for a period of time; the warning suppression time shall not be greater than 2 s.6 Test method6.1 Test environment conditions 6.1.1 The test shall be carried out on a level, dry concrete or asphalt pavement with good adhesion. 6.2 Test measurement system 6.2.1 Requirements for test measurement system The test measurement system shall meet the following requirements. 6.2.2 Accuracy requirements for test measurement system The test measurement system shall be able to achieve the following accuracy. 6.3 Blind spot detection test 6.3.1 Overview The subject vehicles of categories M and N shall be tested for the left blind spot detection and warning and the right blind spot detection and warning test respectively according to 6.3.2 and meet the corresponding requirements.
