The timing of the early- warning shall be such that the driver can react to the risk of collision, control the vehicle in time, and premature or too frequent early-warnings are avoided to annoy the driver. 4.2.7 When the AEBS is temporarily inoperable due to environmental factors such as inclement weather, if an optical warning signal is provided to the driver, the signal shall be a constant yellow signal. The failure warning signal specified in 4.2.4 may be used. 4.3 Performance requirements 4.3.1 Basic performance When AEBS is operating normally, it shall meet the following requirements. 4.3.2 Early-warning and startup performance under stationary target conditions 4.3.2.1 TEST according to 5.4.The time setting of the collision early-warning mode described in 4.2 shall meet the following requirements. 4.3.2.2 The speed decline in the warning phase shall not exceed 15 km/h or 30% of the total speed decline of the test vehicle, whichever is higher. 4.3.2.3 The collision warning phase shall be followed by the emergency braking phase. 4.3.2.4 The total speed decline of the subject vehicle when colliding with a stationary target shall not be less than 10 km/h. 4.3.2.5 The emergency braking phase shall not begin before the time to collision is less than or equal to 3 s. 4.3.3.5 After eliminating driver interference, at least 3 of 5 tests meet the requirements of 4.3.3.1~4.3.3.4. 4.4 Warning signal after system failure TEST according to 5.6.The always-on optical warning signal in accordance with GB 4094-2016 shall be started at the latest when the vehicle is driving at a speed of more than 15 km/h for 10 s. As long as the failure still exists, after turning off the ignition switch and restarting it at rest, the vehicle shall maintain its failure warning state. 4.5 Driver intervention performance 4.6 Anti-false response performance TEST according to 5.8.The AEBS shall not send a collision early-warning and shall not activate the emergency braking function.5 Test methods5.1 Test conditions 5.1.1 The test environment shall comply with the provisions of 5.1.2 of GB 12676-2014. 5.1.2 The horizontal visual range shall ensure that the target can be observed throughout the test. 5.2 Vehicle conditions 5.3 Test target 5.3.1 The test may adopt an ordinary passenger car or a soft target. 5.3.2 Specific measures to ensure consistency and repeatability of targets shall be documented in detail in the vehicle test report. 5.4 Early-warning and startup performance under stationary target 5.5.3 Except for slight adjustment of the steering wheel to prevent the vehicle from shifting in direction, from the start of the test until the speed of the subject vehicle is equal to the target speed, the driver shall not make any adjustments to the subject vehicle. 5.6 Warning signal after system failure 5.6.1 By disconnecting the power supply of the AEBS component or the electrical connection between the AEBS components, simulate circuit failure. When simulating AEBS failure, it shall not cut off the circuit connection of the driver warning signal specified in 4.2.1 and the AEBS manual off control device specified in 4.5. 5.7 Driver intervention performance 5.7.1 TEST according to 5.5.In the warning phase, the driver steps on the accelerator pedal, turns on the turn signal, performs other means specified by the manufacturer, to check whether the response of the system can be interrupted by the active action of driver intervention. 5.8 System anti-false response performance 5.8.1 PUT two ordinary passenger cars defined in GB/T 3730.1-2001 as follows. 5.8.2 The subject vehicle, from outside at least 60 m, begins to pass through the middle of two stationary vehicles at a constant speed of (50±2)km/h. Except for slight adjustment of the steering wheel to prevent the vehicle from shifting in direction, during the test, it shall not make any adjustments to the subject vehicle. ......Source: Above contents are excerpted from the full-copy PDF -- translated/reviewed by: www.ChineseStandard.net / Wayne Zheng et al.
