Compared with QB/T 2307- 1997, the main changes are as follows. - The application scope was specified; - The recommended thickness value of main position was deleted; - The appearance quality was changed into sensory quality. And some inspection items were added, deleted and modified; - The index of physical and mechanical properties was adjusted; - The color fastness to rubbing of lining and insole was added; - Quantity limitation of limited substance was added; - Prohibitive provisions about defects which might affect wearing were added into the technical requirements. Appendix A of this standard is normative, and Appendix B is informative. This standard was proposed by China National Light Industry Council. Leather Sandals1 ScopeThis standard specifies the technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packing, transportation and storage of leather sandals which are made of natural leather, artificial leather, synthetic leather, textiles or multiple materials upper; and which are manufactured by processes of gluing, sewing, mould pressing, vulcanizing, injection molding and grouting etc. This standard is applicable to the leather sandals for general wearing. According to style, it can be classified into belt loop style, close toe & close back style, hollow, front-hollow, and back-hollow style, etc. According to the upper materials, it can be classified into natural leather (top layer leather and split leather), artificial leather, synthetic leather, textiles, and multiple materials sandals.4 Technical Requirements4.1 General Requirements 4.1.1 The shoe size shall meet the requirements of GB/T 3293.1. 4.1.2 The shoe last size shall meet the requirements of GB/T 3293. 4.1.3 The product marking shall meet the requirements of QB/T 2673. 4.2 Sensory quality requirements Sensory quality requirements are shown in Table 1, No. 1~5 of the table are main items while No. Item Superior products Qualified product 1.5mm and width tolerance is 1.0mm. 8 Upper size The front upper (upper band) length tolerance of the same pair of shoes is 1.5mm while the back upper height (upper band length) tolerance is 2.0mm. Uniform in color and lustre and without obvious sensory defects. The surfaces of metal pieces shall be smooth and without sharp edge and sharp tip. Zippers shall be smooth and both ends of the zipper shall free from rags Note 1.if the outsole length tolerance of shoes of same pair exceeds 4.0mm and width tolerance exceeds 3.0mm, the shoes belong to serious defects. Note 2.if the toe upper (upper band) length tolerance of shoes of same pair exceeds 4mm while the back counter height (upper band length) tolerance exceeds 4mm, it belongs to serious defects. 4.3 Requirements of physical and mechanical properties index 4.3.1 Flexing resistance 4.3.1.1 Test conditions. Pre-cut of 5mm and continuously folding for 40000 times. 4.3.1.2 Technical index. The crack length of superior products folded-cuts shall be less than or equal to 10.0mm. New cracks shall not be available after folded. After folded, crazing of leather, broken grain or upper sole chip shall not appear on the upper. Crack length of the qualified products folded cuts shall be less than or equal to 20.0mm. Length of new cracks after folded shall be less than or equal to 5.0mm and shall not be more than 3 places. The folded upper shall free from crazing of leather, broken grain or upper sole chip. 4.3.1.3 40000 times of flexing tests without cuts shall be carried out on the natural leather outsole. Single crack shall not be greater than 5mm and the number shall not be more than 3. 4.3.1.4 Flexing resistance can be omitted under the conditions of shoe size less than 230mm or the thickness of folding position greater than 25mm. 4.3.2 Abrasion resistance 4.3.2.1 Test conditions. Impose a pressure of 4.9N and keep a continuous abrasion for 20min. 4.3.2.2 Technical index. Superior products shall be less than or equal to 10.0mm while the qualified products shall be less than or equal to 14.0mm. 4.3.2.3 The abrasion resistance is not applicable to natural leather outsole. Note. As for footwear products, materials of the insole, inner-pad and lining which directly contact with foot are Category B; and the materials of upper and outsole and so on are Category C.
