4.1 Test power supply 4.1.1 Sine wave test power supply According to the requirements specified in 4.2 of GB/T 1032-2012. 4.1.2 Converter power supply The performance of the motor is closely related to the characteristics of the converter. The motor shall be powered by a suitable frequency converter and be tested under the same carrier frequency. 4.2 Measuring instruments For AC motors, unless otherwise specified in this standard, it shall use the arithmetic average of the three-phase line current and line voltage. 4.3 Setting of the converter 4.3.1 Overview For the test converter used in all test methods, the converter parameters shall be set according to the requirements of this standard. If a combination of a specific frequency converter and a motor is used in the test, for this specific application, the parameters of the frequency converter shall be set according to the specific application. The selected parameter settings shall be recorded in the test report. 4.4 Measurement requirements 4.4.1 Voltage measurement The signal wire of the measuring terminal voltage shall be connected to the motor terminal. If this connection is not allowed on site, the error caused by this shall be calculated and the reading shall be corrected. Take the arithmetic average of the three-phase voltage to calculate the motor performance. 4.4.4 Torque measurement The load test shall be carried out with a torque measuring instrument of appropriate specifications. In addition to the locked-rotor test, the measurement of the maximum torque and the minimum torque, the torque sensor has at least 0.2 accuracy level; the minimum torque measured shall not be less than 10% of the nominal torque of the torque sensor. The higher the accuracy level of the sensor, the corresponding expansion of the allowable torque range. 4.4.5 Measurement of speed and frequency The instrument for measuring frequency shall have an accuracy of ±0.1% of full scale. The accuracy of the speed measuring instrument shall be within 0.1 r/min. 4.4.6 Operating procedures In any test, when reading a series of gradually increasing or decreasing data, it shall be noted that the sequence of operations of increasing or decreasing shall not be changed, to avoid reversing the direction of the test. 4.4.7 Safety Due to the dangerous current, voltage and mechanical force involved, safety precautions shall be taken for all tests. 5 Test preparation

5.1 Determination of insulation resistance 5.1.1 State of the motor during measurement When measuring the insulation resistance of the motor windings, it shall be carried out in the actual cold state and in the hot state (after the thermal test). During the inspection test, it is allowed to measure in the actual cold state. 5.1.3 Measurement method When measuring the winding’s insulation resistance, if the beginning and end of winding at each phase are all lead out, it shall measure the insulation resistance of each winding to the casing and between the windings, respectively. At this time, other windings and embedded thermometers and other components that do not participate in the test shall be electrically connected to the iron core or casing. The casing shall be grounded. If only three terminals are lead out from inside the motor for the three-phase windings, it measures the insulation resistance of all the connected windings to the casing. 5.2 Determination of the DC terminal resistance of the winding in the initial (cold) state 5.2.1 Determination of winding temperature in the initial state Use a thermometer to measure the winding temperature. The motor shall be placed indoors for a period of time before the test. The difference between the winding temperature and the temperature of the cooling medium measured with a thermometer (or embedded thermometer) shall not exceed 2 K. For large and medium-sized motors, the thermometer shall be placed for not less than 15 minutes. 5.3 Test resistance The unit of winding resistance R is ohm, which is measured by an appropriate method. R represents the terminal resistance of the stator winding. The resistance measurement at the end of the thermal test shall be the extrapolation method as described in 8.6.2.3.3 of GB/T 755-2008, using the shortest possible time instead of the time interval as specified in Table 5 of GB/T 755-2008; then it is extrapolated to zero. 5.4 Winding temperature The winding’s test temperature is determined by one of the following methods (in the order listed). 5.5 Correct to the reference cooling medium temperature The winding resistance value recorded in the test shall be converted to a standard reference temperature of 25 °C. Correct the winding resistance (and the slip rate of the cage induction motor) to the standard reference cooling medium temperature of 25 °C.

6 No-load test

6.1 Conditions for no-load test No-load test refers to a test in which the motor runs as a no-load motor and its shaft end has no effective mechanical power output. Before reading and recording the test data, the input power of the motor shall be stable, that is, the difference between two consecutive readings of the input power 30 min apart shall not be greater than 3% of the previous reading. For water-air cooling motors, it shall cut off the water source immediately after the thermal test (or load test). 6.2 Determine no-load current and no-load loss The test shall test the following 8 voltage points, including the rated voltage points, namely. 6.3 Determine the constant loss PC The no-load input power minus the stator loss at the test temperature is the constant loss. The constant loss is the sum of the wind friction loss and iron loss. 6.4 Determine wind friction loss Pfw For 4 or more continuous test points in the range of about 60% of rated voltage to 30% of rated voltage point, make the PC vs. curve (see Figure 2). Extend this straight line to zero voltage. The intercept on the vertical axis at zero voltage is the wind friction loss Pfw0 at near synchronous speed. 6.5 Determine the iron loss PFe For each voltage point between 90% rated voltage and 110% rated voltage, draw the relationship curve of PFe = PC - Pfw to U0.

7 Locked-rotor test

7.1 Rated frequency locked-rotor test 7.1.1 Determination of locked-rotor current, locked-rotor torque, locked- rotor power 7.1.2 Calculation of test results 7.1.2.1 Determination of locked-rotor current and locked-rotor torque If the maximum voltage during the locked-rotor test is within the range of 0.9 ~ 1.1 times the rated voltage, the locked-rotor current IKN and the locked-rotor torque TKN can be checked from the locked-rotor characteristic curve (Figure 3). If the maximum voltage during the locked-rotor test is lower than 0.9 UN, 7.2 Breakaway torque test under converter power supply The test frequency and maximum starting current shall be as specified in accordance with the product standard or the agreement between the manufacturer and the customer.

8 Load test

8.1 Overview The purpose of load test is to determine the relationship between motor efficiency, power factor, speed, stator current, input power, etc. and output power. The test adopts the direct load method, using suitable equipment (such as a DC motor for the load motor or a three-phase asynchronous motor for the load motor, etc.) to load the motor. 8.2 Rated load test Before the load test starts, it shall measure the winding resistance and temperature of the motor under test at the ambient temperature. Apply the rated load to the motor under test in a suitable way and run it to thermal equilibrium (the rate of change is not more than 2 K/h). Record the following data. 8.3 Load characteristic curve 8.3.1 Overview This test shall be carried out immediately after the end of the rated load test while maintaining the operating temperature. If it is not feasible, before starting to read the test data, the difference between the stator winding’s temperature and the temperature rise θN measured by the initial rated load thermal test shall not exceed 5 K. 8.4 Determination of load characteristics of converter-fed motors After the motor’s thermal test, restart the motor and test the load characteristics. For example, the motor which has a reference frequency of 50 Hz, respectively adjust the frequency converter to 3(5) Hz, 15 Hz, 30 Hz, 50 Hz, to measure the rated torque, 110% rated torque, 80% rated torque of the motor. Measure the torque value of the motor at each point of nominal power, 110% nominal power, 80% nominal power at the frequency of 60 Hz, 80 Hz, 100 Hz (the nominal power at this time shall be converted into torque);

9 Determination of loss

9.1 Overview This standard recommends using method 2-1-1B to determine the various losses. Method 2-1-1B refers to the use of the sum of the sub-items to determine the efficiency. The loss of each sub-item includes. 9.2 Iron loss PFe 9.3 Wind friction loss Pfw 9.4 Load loss 9.5 Load stray loss PLL 9.5.1 Residual loss PLr The input power of each load point minus the output power, and then subtract the stator winding I2R loss, iron loss, wind friction under the test resistance and the rotor winding I2R loss corresponding to the measured slip, which is the residual loss, according to formula (28) Calculation. 9.5.2 Smoothing of residual loss data The residual loss data shall be smoothed through the linear regression analysis method (see Figure 5). This linear regression analysis method is as shown in Appendix D. 9.6 Total loss PT The total loss is the sum of the corrected iron loss (according to 9.2), the corrected wind friction loss (according to 9.3), the corrected load loss (according to 9.4), the load stray loss (according to 9.5), which is calculated according to formula (35). ......
