Heat pump water heater for commercial & industrial and similar application1 ScopeThis Standard specifies the terms and definitions, types and basic parameters, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, storage and transportation of heat pump water heater for commercial and industrial and similar application (hereinafter referred to as “water heater”). This Standard is applicable to the motor-driven air-source and water-source heat pump water heaters for hot water supply, with vapor compression refrigeration cycle, and a nominal heating capacity of 3,000W or more. For the heat pump water heaters for other purposes, it can also be used for reference.2 Normative referencesThe provisions in the following documents become the provisions of this Standard through reference in this Standard. Various protection devices shall meet the design requirements and be sensitive and reliable. 5.1.12 The installation of each component of the water heater shall be firm and reliable. The compressor shall have anti-vibration measures. There shall be no abnormal sound when the water heater operates. There shall be no friction and collision between pipelines and components. The electromagnetic directional valve of the water heater shall be sensitive and reliable. 5.1.13 The circulating water pump provided for the water heater shall ensure the normal operation of the water heater with its flow and head. The heat-source heat exchanger and the hot-water heat exchanger provided for the water heater shall meet the relevant requirements for hot water. 5.1.14 Salt spray resistance of electroplating parts After being tested according to the method of 6.4.11, the area of rust on each rust spot on the metal plating shall not exceed 1mm2; there shall be no more than 2 rust spots or rust on the area of 100cm2 of the test piece coating; when it is less than 100cm2, there shall be no rust spot and rust. 5.1.15 Coating adhesion of coating parts The coating of the coating parts shall be firm. After being tested according to the method of 6.4.12, the adhesion shall be up to Level 2 or above specified in GB/T 1720. 5.2 Safety requirements The safety requirements for water heaters shall comply with the relevant provisions of JB 8654. 5.3 Performance requirements 5.3.1 Airtightness requirements for the heating system Each part of the water heater’s heat pump system shall be sealed. After being When tested in accordance with the method of 6.4.6, the heating parts of the air-source heat pump water heater shall not be damaged. Meanwhile, the high- pressure, anti-freeze, and overload protectors shall not be opened, and the unit shall be able to operate normally. 5.3.6 Automatic defrosting When performing defrosting test on the air-source heat pump water heater in accordance with the method of 6.4.7, the following requirements shall be met. — The safety protection elements and devices shall not operate and shall stop operation; — The defrosting function is normal; the defrosting is thorough; the melting water in the defrosting shall be able to be discharged normally; — In the continuous operation after the initial defrosting is completed, the total time required for defrosting shall not exceed 20% of the operating cycle time; for the unit equipped with more than two independent refrigeration cycles, the sum of the independent cycle defrosting time shall not exceed 20% of the total running time of each independent cycle. 5.3.7 Requirements for the minimum load condition The water-source heat pump water heater shall adopt low-temperature protection on the heat source side. When tested in accordance with the method of 6.4.8, the following requirements shall be met. — The protective device is not allowed to open; the water heater cannot be damaged; — The low-temperature protection function is normal; when the heat-source water temperature is equal to or higher than the allowable cryogenic temperature, the water heater shall be able to function normally. 5.3.8 Off-design performance The temperature conditions for off-design performance of the water heater are shown in Table 1 and Table 2.TEST in accordance with the method of 6.4.9. DRAW a performance graph or chart. 5.3.9 Noise Water heaters shall make noise measurements in accordance with the provisions of 6.4.10.The actual measured maximum noise value shall not be greater than the specified value in Table 5, and shall not be greater than the unit’s indicated value. The tolerance shall be +3dB(A). 6.4.2.2 FILL the pressure-resistant water tank with clean water. ENSURE 1.25 times the design pressure. OBSERVE all parts and connectors, which shall comply with the provisions of 5.3.2.2. 6.4.3 Electrical control equipment test The water heater runs continuously under conditions close to the nominal heating conditions. CHECK the electrical control equipment and protective devices, which shall comply with the provisions of 5.1.1.1. 6.4.4 Nominal condition performance test of water heater 6.4.4.1 Heating capacity test Under the nominal conditions specified in Table 1 and Table 2, and the power conditions specified in 6.1.2, DETERMINE the heating capacity of the water heater using the method of Annex B. The additional electrical heating shall not be turned on. 6.4.4.2 Heating consumed power test While determining the heating capacity according to the method of Annex B, DETERMINE the total heating consumed power during the operation of the water heater. 6.4.4.3 Electrical heating test for additional electrical heating heat pump water heater When the additional electrical heating heat pump water heater is conducted with the heat pump heating capacity test according to 6.4.4.1, after the termination temperature of water reaches the manufacturer specified temperature, ENERGIZE the auxiliary electric heater, and DETERMINE the consumed electric power, which shall comply with the provisions of 5.3.3.4. 6.4.4.4 Water-side pressure loss test The water-side pressure loss shall be determined according to the method for measuring the pressure loss on the water side of the unit specified in GB/T 18430.1.Measured pressure loss on the service side and heat source side shall meet the requirements of 5.3.3.5. 6.4.5 Maximum load condition test 6.4.5.1 One-time heating heat pump water heater At rated frequency, the test voltage is 90% and 110% of the rated voltage, respectively. OPERATE according to the maximum heating load conditions specified in Table 1 and Table 2.After reaching stability, RUN continuously for 1h. Then STOP for 3min (the voltage increases by no more than 3% during this condition. 6.4.8 Minimum load condition test 6.4.8.1 One-time heating heat pump water heater At rated frequency and rated voltage, the water-source heat pump water heater is operated under the minimum operating heating conditions specified in Table 2.The water heater shall be capable of continuous operation for at least 30min. 6.4.8.2 Circulate heating heat pump water heater At rated frequency and rated voltage, the water-source heat pump water heater is operated under low-temperature heating conditions and test water flow specified in Table 2.SHUT down after the temperature of the water tank on the service side of the water heater reaches the termination temperature of water of this condition. 6.4.9 Off-design test When a certain condition in Table 1 and Table 2 changes, other conditions are tested according to the flow conditions and temperature conditions under nominal conditions. DETERMINE the heating capacity and the corresponding heating consumed power. The test shall include the condition points of corresponding condition temperatures in Table 1 and Table 2.The test results are plotted as a graph or table. Each graph or table shall have the values of not less than 4 measurement points. 6.4.10 Noise test At rated voltage and rated frequency of the water heater, MEASURE the noise of the unit under near-nominal conditions, in accordance with the method of Annex D in JB/T 4330-1999. 6.4.11 Salt spray resistance test for electroplating parts The electroplating parts of the water heater shall be conducted with the salt spray test according to GB/T 2423.17, with a test cycle of 24h. Prior to the test, the surface of the electroplating parts is cleaned for degreasing. After the test, USE clean water to wash away the salt remaining on the surface. CHECK the electroplating parts for corrosion. The results shall comply with the provisions of 5.1.14. 6.4.12 Coating adhesion test for coating parts The coating parts of the water heater shall be conducted with the adhesion test according to GB 1720.The adhesion shall comply with the provisions of 5.1.15.8 Marking, packaging, storage and transportation8.1 Marking 8.1.1 Each water heater shall be provided with a permanent nameplate in a prominent position. The nameplate shall comply with the provisions of GB/T 13306.The nameplate shall include the following contents. a) manufacturer’s name and trademark; b) product model and name; c) type of climate; d) main technical performance parameters [nominal heating capacity, nominal heating water flow, refrigerant code and charge amount, power supply (voltage, phase number, and frequency), protection type, noise, rated voltage, rated frequency, rated current, input power, water-side pressure loss, service-side water pressure difference (for units provided with water pumps), etc.]; e) product exit-factory number; f) production date. 8.1.2 Other marking requirements. The relevant parts of the water heater shall be marked with operating status [such as water inlet and outlet, drain outlet, and refrigerant gas valve, liquid valve, etc., safety signs (such as grounding devices, warning signs, etc.)]. 8.1.3 The water heater packaging containers shall have the following signs. a) manufacturer’s name; b) product model, name and trademark; c) net weight, and gross weight; d) package dimensions; e) executive standards; f) other signs (or. the relevant packaging, pictorial marking for handling of goods, and transport package shipping marks shall comply with the relevant provisions of GB/T 191 and GB/T 6388, respectively). 8.1.4 The executive standard number of the product shall be marked in the corresponding places (such as nameplate, product manual, etc.). 8.2 Packaging 8.2.1 The water heater shall be cleaned before packaging. The parts shall be clean and dry. Rusty parts shall be coated with rust inhibitors. The water heater shall be covered with a plastic cover or moisture-proof paper, and shall be fixed in the packaging container. The packaging shall meet the requirements of GB/T 13384. B.3.1.3 Data to be recorded a) Heat source side. dry-bulb temperature, and wet-bulb temperature (air- source water heater); water inlet temperature, and water flow (water-source water heater); b) Service side. mass of the heated water, heating time, water heater’s power consumption within the heating time, initial temperature of water, termination temperature of water, and circulating water flow. B.3.2 Test requirements B.3.2.1 The water inlet (outlet) temperature on the service side and heat source side, and air temperature (humidity) on the heat source side of the unit, as well as the allowable deviations of all these parameters shall meet the requirements for test conditions specified in the assessment condition table. The amount of water in the standard water tank is the heating water flow heated by the heat pump water heater for 1h. B.3.2.2 The voltage and frequency of the power supply shall meet the requirements for test conditions. B.3.2.3 The test devices need to be calibrated. B.3.2.4 The pipeline and standard water tank need to be insulated. B.3.2.5 The absolute value of the difference between the temperature of each measuring point and the average temperature in the standard water tank shall not be greater than 0.3°C. B.3.3 Test device calibration B.3.3.1 The test devices shall be periodically calibrated to verify the measurement accuracy of the test devices. The calibration test shall be carried out at least once every six months. After major changes in test devices, a calibration test shall also be conducted. B.3.3.2 The calibration test device is shown in Figure B.3.The calibration device is connected to the test device instead of the tested heat pump water heater.
