This Part is Part 1 of GB/T 18490. This Part is drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009. This Part replaces GB 18490-2001 "Laser processing machines - Safety requirements". Compared with GB 18490-2001, the main technical changes of this Part are as follows: - ADD the standard for noise hazard generated by laser processing machines to the scope (see Clause 1); - ADD and modify the normative references (see Clause 2); - ADD terms and definitions: location with controlled access, location with restricted access, location with unrestricted and uncontrolled access (see 3.3, 3.4, 3.5); - ADD "Machinery shall comply as appropriate with GB/T 15706-2012 for hazards which are not covered by this Part." (see 5.1); - Modify the content of protection against laser radiation hazards (see 5.3.2.1, 5.3.2.2; 5.3.1.1 and 5.3.1.2 of the 2001 edition); - Modify the content of control means and circuits (see 5.3.3.1, 5.3.3.3, 5.3.3.4, 5.3.3.6; 5.3.2, 5.3.2.2, 5.3.2.3, 5.3.2.5 of the 2001 edition); - Modify the standard content that user information shall follow (see Clause 7; Clause 7 of the 2001 edition); - ADD examples of processing by-products of unintentionally deteriorated materials (see A.1.10); - ADD the standard content that shall be followed for related hazard protection (see Annex B).
