This Standard was redrafted based on ISO 722:1991. Based on the actual production situation of hollow drill steels for rock drilling in China, this Standard has modified the international standard when adopting it. The main technical differences are as follows: - ADD the corresponding contents of technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, marking and quality certificates, etc.; - DELETE 38 and 45 from the nominal dimensions of hexagonal hollow drill steels, ADD the specification of 35; - ADD the specifications of R39-, R46- and R52- for round hollow drill steels; - DIVIDE the allowable deviation of basic dimension into two grades, while ISO 722 has only one grade. This Standard replaces GB/T 1301-1994 “Rock drilling equipment - Hollow drill steels in bar form”. Compared with GB/T 1301-1994, the main changes of this Standard are as follows: - ADJUST the corresponding contents of classification and code; - MODIFY the code of hollow drill steels for rock drilling: the original hexagonal code B is modified to H, and the round code D is modified to R; - EXPRESS the specification code by the nominal dimension value; - ADJUST the dimensions, shapes and allowable deviations; - ADD the designations of ZK95CrMo, ZK40SiMnCrNiMo, ZK23CrNi3Mo, ZK22SiMnCrNi2Mo, DELETE ZKT8; - ADD the requirements for macrostructures; - TIGHTEN the requirements for curvature, hardness and decarburized layer; - ADD the corresponding contents of packaging, marking, and quality certificates. This Standard was proposed by China Iron and Steel Association. This Standard shall be under the jurisdiction of National Technical Committee on Steel of Standardization Administration of China. Hollow drill steels for rock drilling1 ScopeThis Standard specifies the classification and code, dimensions, shapes and allowable deviations, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, marking and quality certificates of hexagonal and round hollow drill steels for rock drilling. This Standard applies to hexagonal and round hollow drill steels for rock drilling.2 Normative referencesThe following referenced documents are indispensable for the application of this document.
