4 Classification of occupational eye and face

protectors 4.1 Functional types of occupational eye and face protectors The function of occupational eye and face protector refers to the ability to protect against one or more of the following dangers. 4.2 Types of occupational eye and face protectors According to the structure and style, occupational eye and face protector can be divided into the following types.

5 Basic requirements

5.1 Harmless Occupational eye and face protectors in contact with the skin shall meet the requirements of the purpose of use and the environment of use. There shall be no factors that endanger the user's health or safety. 5.2 Headband The headband shall be adjustable or self-adjusting. Without external force, the width of the contact between the headband that plays the main role in fixing the head and the face of the wearer shall not be less than 5 mm. 5.3 Minimum size requirements for assembled lenses The minimum size of the assembled lens shall meet the requirements of Table 1. 5.4 Optical requirements 5.4.1 Spherical, cylindrical, prismatic degrees 5.4.2 Visible light transmittance Test according to the method specified in 5.3 of GB/T 32166.2-2015.For colorless lenses, the visible light transmittance at the reference point shall not be less than 85%. 5.4.3 Scattered light 5.4.3.1 Wide-angle scattering (haze) When the visible light transmittance of the occupational eye and face protector is greater than or equal to 15%, the test is performed according to the method specified in 5.4 of GB/T 32166.2-2015. 5.5 Strength 5.5.1 Minimum strength of unassembled lens Perform the test according to the method specified in 6.1.1 of GB/T 32166.2- 2015.After the test, the sample shall not show the following conditions. 5.5.2 Minimum strength for occupational eye and face protector Perform the test according to the method specified in 6.1.2 of GB/T 32166.2- 2015.After the test, the sample shall not show the following conditions. 5.6 Anti-aging performance 5.6.1 Thermal resistance The test shall be performed in accordance with the method specified in 6.2 of GB/T 32166.2-2015.The sample after the test shall not be deformed, peeled or damaged. 5.8 Packaging and marking 5.8.1 Packaging Products shall be properly packaged and must be accompanied by a product certificate and instruction manual. 5.8.2 Marking Provide the following information in one or any combination of occupational eye and face protector, labels, product’s minimal packaging, instruction manuals.

6 Special requirements

6.1 Requirements for optical radiation protection 6.1.1 Specific requirements for different types of filters 6.1.1.1 UV attenuation filter The specific requirements for UV attenuation filters are as follows. UV attenuation filters that cannot meet the requirements of scattered light are identified by the code U; the others are identified by the code UC. 6.1.1.2 IR attenuation filter The specific requirements of the infrared attenuation filter are as follows. The infrared attenuation filter that cannot meet the selectivity requirements for color recognition in item b) is identified by the code I, whilst those that meet the requirements are identified by the code IC. 6.1.1.3 Anti-glare filter 6.1.1.3.1 Transmittance requirements The transmittance of the anti-glare filter shall meet the requirements of Table 8. 6.2 Additional requirements for eye and face protectors for non-radiation industries 6.2.1 Protection from high-speed particle impact Occupational eye and face protection against high-speed particle impact must have side protection. 6.2.2 Anti-impact performance of heavy objects This clause applies to the protective performance of occupational eye and face protector against large-mass impact from high places. It is tested in accordance with the method specified in 6.7 of GB/T 32166.2-2015. 6.2.3 Droplet protection (only applicable to goggle-type protector) Test in accordance with the method specified in 6.8 of GB/T 32166.2-2015. Occupational eye and face protector with droplet protection shall meet the following requirements. 6.2.4 Anti-fogging of lens Test the sample in accordance with the method specified in 6.10 of GB/T 32166.2-2015.The sample shall not be fogged for at least 8 s.

Appendix A

(Normative) Types of light radiation and determination of shading number A.1 Types of optical radiation Occupational eye and face protector (excluding laser eye protector and welding protector) can be used to protect the radiation from natural light or artificial light sources, such as sunlight which has a wavelength in the ultraviolet spectrum range, visible spectrum range and infrared spectrum range. Ultraviolet spectrum is usually divided into 3 parts, long-wave ultraviolet (UV-A) is 380 nm ~ 315 nm, medium-wave ultraviolet (UV-B) is 315 nm ~ 280 nm, far ultraviolet (FUV) is 280 nm ~ 180 nm. FUV is part of short-wave ultraviolet (UV- C) with a wavelength of 100 nm ~ 280 nm. Because air has a strong absorption of light radiation with a wavelength range of less than 180 nm, professional eye protectors no longer consider this wavelength band. ......
