Fertilizer marking - Presentation and declaration1 ScopeThis standard specifies the terms and definitions, principles, basic principles, general requirements, marking content and requirements, labels, quality certifications or certificates, printing of marking, for fertilizer marking. This standard applies to fertilizers, which are sold in China. It does not apply to products, which are specially made for users by producers in accordance with the contract AND are not circulated in the market.2 Normative referencesThe following documents are essential to the application of this document. If the declaration has a role other than providing nutrients, there shall be sufficient and credible evidence.6 General requirements6.1 General requirements All contents marked shall be clear, firm, in obvious contrast to the base, easy to identify. 6.2 Text The texts in the marking shall use standard Chinese characters (nutrient names can be expressed by chemical element symbols or molecular formulas). It may use synonymous minority characters and foreign characters at the same time, BUT the foreign characters shall be smaller than the corresponding Chinese 6.3 Graphics It shall meet the requirements of GB 190 and GB/T 191. 6.4 Color The color used in the marking of fertilizer shall be eye-catching, prominent, easy to identify quickly. The color of the pattern shall not hinder the rapid recognition of the marking text.7 Marking content and requirements7.1 Fertilizer name and trademark 7.1.1 Generic name (standard name) For the products that are marked to implement national standards, industry standards, local standards, it shall mark the generic name, in accordance with the provisions of the corresponding standards. For the products that are marked to implement group standards and enterprise standards, the generic name shall use the corresponding category name in "4.1 Classification by nutrients" of GB/T 32741-2016; 7.1.2 Commodity name If marking the name of the product (or the name of the fertilizer for a special purpose), it shall not cause misunderstanding and confusion among users and consumers. For fertilizer products that have been registered, they shall be marked with the name, which has been approved during valid registration. 7.2 Specifications, grades, net content of fertilizer 7.2.1 Where the specifications, grades, categories have been specified in the fertilizer product standards, it shall mark the corresponding specifications, grades, categories. If only the nutrient content is marked, it is deemed that, the full technical indicators of product quality meet the requirements of highest grade of the product, corresponding to the nutrient content. 7.3 Nutrient content 7.3.1 General provisions 7.3.2 Straight fertilizer 7.3.2.1 It shall mark the content of a single nutrient (in terms of mass fraction). 7.3.2.2 If secondary element and trace element are added, it may mark the secondary element and trace element (calculated by the mass fraction of elementary substance of element, the same below); it shall mark the content of each single nutrient AND the corresponding total content, respectively, based on the two types of secondary element and trace element. 7.3.3 Compound fertilizers and bulk blending fertilizers 7.3.3.1 It shall mark the total primary nutrient content (in terms of mass fraction). It shall not count other elements or compounds in the total primary nutrient. 7.3.4 Secondary nutrient (element) fertilizer 7.3.4.1 It shall separately mark the content of each secondary nutrient AND the sum of the marked nutrient content of secondary nutrient, respectively. A single secondary element, which has a content of less than 4.0%, shall not be marked. 7.3.5 Micronutrient fertilizer It shall respectively mark the single content of various trace elements AND the sum of nutrient content of trace element. 7.3.6 Organic fertilizer It shall mark the content of organic matter AND total primary nutrient content. 7.4 Content of other additives 7.5 Restricted substances and indicators 7.6 Production license number and fertilizer registration certificate number For the products subject to production licensing and fertilizer registration management, it shall be marked with corresponding valid marks and numbers, in accordance with relevant requirements. 7.7 Name and address of the producer and/or distributor 7.8 Production date or batch number, import contract number 7.8.1 For domestic products, it shall mark the production date or batch number of the fertilizer product, on the product certificate, quality certificate, product outer packaging, or using easily identifiable electronic information (QR code, bar code). 7.9 Implemented standard 7.9.1 It shall mark the number of standard, which is implemented by the fertilizer product.
