GB/T 16716 Packaging and Packaging Waste can be divided into 7 parts. --- Part 1.General Rules of Disposal and Utilization; --- Part 2.Means and Program for Evaluation; --- Part 3.Prevention by Source Reduction; --- Part 4.Reuse; --- Part 5.Recoverable by Material Recycling; --- Part 6.Recoverable by Energy Recovery; --- Part 7.Recoverable by Composting and Biodegradation. This Part is Part 5 of GB/T 16716. The technical content of this Part is equivalent to EN 13430-2004 Packaging – Requirements for Packaging Recoverable by Material Recycling (English Version). For ease of use, this Part has made the following editorial modifications. a) Change the word "this European Standard" into "this Part"; b) Delete the Table of Contents, Foreword, Introduction and Annex ZA of the European Standard; c) Replace the comma "," as a decimal point by a decimal point "."; d) Replace "Clauses and annexes of 94/62/EC" by "Clauses of GB/T 16716.1"; e) Replace "EN 13427" by "GB/T 16716.2"; f) Replace "CR 14311" by "GB/T 18455"; g) Replace "EN 13193" by "GB/T 23156". The Annexes A and B of this Part are normative; while the Annex C and D are informative. 1 Scope

This Part of GB/T 16716 specifies the requirements, methods, procedures and criteria for evaluating the recyclability of packaging or packaging materials. This Part applies to packaging or packaging materials that can be recycled in the form of material recycling.

The provisions in following documents become the provisions of this Part of GB/T 16716 through reference in this Part. For dated references, the subsequent amendments (excluding corrigendum) or revisions do not apply to this Part, however, parties who reach an agreement based on this Standard are encouraged to study if the latest versions of these documents are applicable. For undated references, the latest edition of the referenced document applies.
