3 Terms and definitions

This standard uses the following terms and definitions. 3.1 Rotational speed sensor A sensor, which measures the rotational speed of automobile engines, gearboxes, wheels, etc. AND converts them into electrical signals. Usually it includes crankshaft speed sensor, wheel speed sensor, gearbox speed sensor, turbine speed sensor. 3.2 Crankshaft speed sensor A sensor, which is installed on the engine, to detect the speed and position of the crankshaft AND output electrical signals.

4 Requirements

4.1 General requirements 4.1.1 The sensor shall meet the requirements of this standard. IT shall be manufactured in accordance with the drawings and design documents, which are approved by the prescribed procedures. 4.2 Basic performance parameters 4.5 Temperature resistance 4.5.1 Resistance to low temperature storage The sensor has undergone a storage test, at a low temperature of -40 °C, for a duration of 24 hours; after 2 hours of recovery at room temperature, its performance shall meet the requirements of 4.2. 4.5.4 Resistance to working at low temperature When the sensor is subjected to the test of resistance to working at low temperature at -40 °C, the performance shall meet the requirements of 4.2. 4.5.5 Resistance to working at high temperature When the sensor is subjected to the test of resistance to working at high temperature, as shown in Table 2, the performance shall meet the requirements of 4.2. 4.7 Vibration resistance The sensor shall be subjected to a vibration resistance test. After the test, the appearance shall not be damaged; the performance shall meet the requirements of 4.2. 4.8 Protection performance The degree of protection of the sensor (except the connector) shall meet the requirements of Table 3. 4.12 Durability After the durability test of Table 5, the sensor for commercial vehicles shall meet the requirements of 4.2.After the durability test in Table 6, the sensors for passenger vehicles shall meet the requirements of 4.2. 5.6.4 Test of resistance to working at low temperature It is carried out according to the provisions of 5.1.1.2.2 in GB/T 28046.4-2011. The working mode 3.2 is changed to 3.1. 5.7 Test of resistance to cyclic damp heat It is carried out according to 5.6.2.3 of GB/T 28046.4-2011.Perform 10 cycles of combined temperature/humidity cycle test, in the range of -10 °C ~ 65 °C. The working mode 3.2 is changed to 3.1 OR as negotiated with the customer. 5.11 Test of resistance to free fall It is carried out according to the provisions of 4.3 in GB/T 28046.3-2011. 5.12 Chemical resistance test It is carried out according to the provisions of GB/T 28046.5. 5.13 Durability test Divide the samples into two groups, to carry out the following tests, respectively (Hall/magneto-resistive sensors need to be tested in a charged state).

6 Inspection rules

6.1 Qualification documents and marking The sensor can only leave the factory, after passing the inspection, AND accompanied by a product quality certificate and marking. 6.3 Type inspection 6.3.1 Several situations for type inspection In one of the following situations, the sensor shall be subject to type inspection. 6.3.2 Sampling and grouping The samples for type inspection shall be taken from the same batch of samples, that have passed the exit-factory inspection; the quantity shall not be less than 12.First perform reinspection, according to the exit-factory inspection items. After passing the reinspection, divide the samples into 4 groups. Carry out the test in the following grouping and item order. 6.3.3 Qualification judgment The type inspection items of the sensor shall all meet the specified requirements. If there is one unqualified item, it may re-take double quantity of samples, to carry out reinspection of this unqualified item.

7 Marking, packaging, storage and custody

The marking, packaging, storage, custody of the sensor should be implemented in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 6 of QC/T 413-2002. ......
