Formats of Automotive Product Drawing
1 Scope
This Standard specifies the format and filling rules of the automotive product drawing.
This Standard is applicable to the making of the automotive product drawing
(hereinafter referred to as drawing).
2 Normative References
The following documents are essential to the application of this document. For the
dated documents, only the versions with the dates indicated are applicable to this
document; for the undated documents, only the latest version (including all the

3 Terms and Definitions
For the purpose of this document, the terms and definitions given in QC/T 18 apply.
4 General Requirements
4.1 The size of the product drawing width shall be as specified in GB/T 14689. The
center point of each s ide length in the drawing shall have a centering symbol, which
shall be drawn with a thick solid line; the line width shall be no less than 0.5mm; the
length shall be from the boundary of the paper; reach about 5mm within the frame.

B: marking code for the start of regular production drawing.
NOTE: the round number may also be added to the right of the mark code in each stage;
the round number shall be represented by Arabic numerals, for instance, the second-
round prototype car (machine) trial production drawing mark code is S2.
g) Organization name block: fill in the name or code of the design organization.
5.1.1.2 Name area
The name area consists of drawing name block, and material mark block.
a) Patter name block: fill in the name of the design object. Where there are the terms
for parts and components specified in standard, it shall be filled in according to
the name specified in the standard. If there is a standard English name, the
English name shall be filled in below the Chinese name;
b) Material mark block: fill in the material code mark of the part in the part drawing;
the assembly drawing shall not be marked.
5.1.1.3 Signature area
Each block of the signature area shall be signed and dated according to the design,
check, review, standard, joint signature, and approval.
5.1.2 Extended title block
The extended title block is a part that extends the upper part or all of the main title
block into the drawing. The extended title block includes item number block, extended
item name block, extended item material block, extended item mass block, and
extended drawing mark block.
5.1.2.1 The role of extended title block
The extended title block aims to satisfy the requirements of filling in two or more
drawing names and numbers in the title block of a drawing.
5.1.2.2 Filling of extended title block
When the part/component is a left-right (up-down or front-back) symmetrical part, fill in
the number and name of the left (up or front) part/component in the main title block;
